New York vs. Kansas City

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Giants 34, Chiefs 24
Aug. 13, 2004

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) The much-anticipated debut of Eli Manning was upstaged by another once highly regarded New York Giants first-round draft pick and a budding television star.

Ron Dayne showed flashes of his Heisman Trophy days, scoring on runs of 29 and 67 yards, and Jesse Palmer threw a game-winning 11-yard touchdown pass with 6:32 to play, rallying the Giants to a 34-24 win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday night.

I saw this game while in NYC over the weekend, and I was indeed impressed by Dayne. Good to see him getting himself back on track.

My boy, Kurt looked good, and operated the 1st team well.

Manning got a great ovation coming into the game, and an even better welcome by the KC line on a sack. He throws a nice ball, and he should be the franchise QB sonner than we think.

The Giants D was a sieve, which looks promising for our Offense two times this year. The 1st team offense had some great 3rd and long conversions, but, it was against KC's leaky defense.
Back and better than ever!
