Was Chad Morton outrunning his blockers

Post by frankcal20 »

What do you guys think. I noticed that Morton took off before his blockers even got set up. I think that if he were just a bit more patient he would get a bit more yards. Our Return team needs a bit more practice along with the offense.

If he was, it escaped me. I think he was getting a little hot over something out there. There weren't any lanes for him that I could see.

I agree Frankcal20. He seems to excelerate faster than his blockers and ends up tripping over them. He needs to wait for the lanes to appear and then hit the afterburners.

Sam Huff had a good point on the radio -- Morton runs the same path on EVERY return ... straight up the middle. By the time the coverage gets to him, he's lost any option of going left or right.
