Ifeanyi should start.

Post by Californiaskin »

Sorry to all you Matt Bowen fans out there but I'm hoping Ifeanyi will win a starting roll opposite Taylor at saftey. The guy single handedly beat the Pats last season and there is still a black, burned out, scorched earthen trail on fed ex field where he took the one pick back for a score against New Orleans on that fateful day. Bowen could be a solid back up and special teams player. I truely believe Iffy is a star in the making.

Ifeayani is totally underrated. I think he is one of those guys that is in the Gibbs mold. Smoot, Cartwright, and Iffy are in my posse of guys that will blow up in 2004/5.

ss is matt bowen's natural position and since sean taylor will be taking iffy's spot like portis took his number iffy's gonna have to ride the pines. The only position he'll be playing is lo........ left out.

this is going to be a good camp battle. depth battles like this will only make everyone involved that much better.
that said, bowen will start.

It seems to me that Iffy is the kind of guy that will find his way onto the field for Coach Gibbs. He plays smart and doesn't make mistakes. I think in obvious passing downs, he might be able to see some time possibly as a nickel or dime back. If not there, the guy will mos def bust his ass on special teams. I hate to see him lose his job, cause he's worked so hard, but I think he can still have a considerable role and impact on this season's team

This is going to be a much more competitive battle than quarterback will be. Bowen is the favorite, but my money is on Iffy...

I have to agree with you SSIII.

Iffy has done some amazing things even more so then Bowen. But Bowen is still a very good safety and I just can't wait until they start going head to head.

I can just see it now during the preseason. The opposing teams 5th string wide out will be catching a pass over the middle....WHAM. Bowen or Iffy will show him they want to start!!!

I can't wait!!!

It's good to have depth at Safety. Let the pros decide who plays. Isn't that what we pay Greg Williams for?

It's quite possible that Iffy and Bowen will be starting if Taylor misses too much practice due to his knee. I hope this is not the case but that's where depth comes in.

Come on, we are letting Gregg decide who plays, but right now we are just speculating on who he will pick. Live a little...

Sorry just getting sick of this debate. I don't even care who starts. I'm itching for some games. I thought this debate got banned from thehogs.net a few months ago?
