The Philadelphia Eagles have been mentioned as a potential landing spot for running back Eddie George, but a team source told the Philadelphia Inquirer that the team is not interested in the future Hall of Famer. Team president Joe Banner did not return the paper's phone calls.
running back Eddie George .... the future Hall of Famer.
Are they kidding? Eddie George is good, but he's no hall of famer. His numbers aren't that special. I'm trying to think of the last several running backs to be elected....John Riggins, Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, Earl Campbell, Marcus Allen. He is not in that league. Heck his numbers aren't even as good as Ricky Watters and Ricky sure as heck ain't getting in.
This should probably have been posted in Around the league though.
RIP 21

The people over at ESPN think this "future HOFer" is washed up. Read for yourself.
I think Mr. George would be a great addition to any football team, so long as they are not in our division. He may not get the money he is looking for.
