Passing the time poll

Post by oafusp »

1 week and 2 days until the ressurection of the Redskins.
There will be plenty to dicuss in coming weeks/months, so here is a lil poll to ponder about the future. (another "mercy post" since it is the last "slow" week).

*remember we don't have a 2nd round pick (yet)

I picked DT, but that's because I would really love for our line to be able to stop the run. It pains me to watch us get run all over. Troy Hambrick setting a record on our D?!? Get real.
Of course, it also depends on te talent pool next year.
You'll always be remembered Sean. R.I.P.

I picked DT because some stud DT's will help out the DE's more than the other way around.

I want to see how the season goes, and reevaluate our needs at that time.

I voted for trade for another young veteran - although older veteran will do. I love Joe gibbs but lets face reality - in his first stint as head coach he was pretty bad at drafting players out of college - especially as his career wore on and Bobby B had less of an influence - (for example Bobby Wilson or Desmond Coward). However he did show enormous ability at bringing in veteran talent (example Earnest Byner - Wilbur Marshal).

I chose DT only because there will more than likely be a DE that we get in next year's free agency. Im all for sitting back and evaluating as the season goes along though, like TC said. But at this givin time I think that a DT is what will transpire because Gibbs hates to be run on, and We have to stop the run before we can get opprotunities against the qb. Thats only one man's opinion, but it may change as the season goes along. I'm looking for big things from Williams and his Defensive coaching staff.
I have travelled the net and found the Redskins promise land. This is, by far, the best site out there for Redskins/NFL News, Notes, Opinions, and so much more.
