Favorite Band

Post by Warmother »

I listen to a lot of music and I got to wondering what musical taste do My brothers and sisters here at the net have. Since there is a wide range in ages here I expect many different styles and types of music. My personal favorite's are Aerosmith, Springsteen, Lynard Skynard I also love Kenny Wayne Shepard. Anyway please let me know some of your favorites. :feedback;

It's not really a "band" but I've always been a Stevie Ray Vaughn fan.....and, of course, I'm a parrothead (sorry HS666).

By the way, Steven Tyler (Aerosmith) showed up at a concert that the band that I'm in (FIRST STATE FORCE) was playing a couple of years ago. We knew he was gonna show up so, at our request, we backed him up singing "Walk This Way."

That was something I'll never forget.

Besides S.R.V., I like Aerosmith...and, I gotta say, a new favorite of mine is Los Lonely Boys.

I have a huge variety involved in my musical taste. I was a drummer in high school and had the opportunity to play in a variety of different styles. I mostly listen to alternative (I like the harder stuff like Disturbed), country, funk or grunge (alice in Chains type stuff). When my son is there, I jam to the wiggles, Disney soundtracks and Toby Keith. I also listen to old school heavy metal like Anthrax, Judas Priest, and old Metallica. I listen to hair bands like Poison, Warrant and Skid Row. I listen to Big Band/Jazz like Buddy Rich and Classic Rock like the Eagles, Aerosmith and Zeppelin. That about covers it..... :lol:

That is pretty funny JansenFan... my niece watches The Wiggles, too. :lol:

I listen to Nickelback, Stained, Linkin Park, Nelly, Jay-Z, Mario Winans (when I get his CD), and DMX.

Wow I'm shocked. Of course it's going to sound like I'm holding on to my youth here but lately one my favorite CDs is Linkin Park. I never really gave them a chance at first. Then I found the cd in my car one day and listened to it. It was awesome.
The other one I've been stuck on for a while is Santana. Supernatural. I play it when I am trying to get Jackson to sleep. It has just such a soothing quality to me.
Another favorite of mine, and it's not his name, is Alan Jackson. He has very powerful songs.
So I like a little here and a little there. Can you see the battle when Jansen Fan and I are in the car together??

I guess it's safe to assume I wasn't the only hog.net member who used to stay up late and watch headbangers ball :rock:

very safe assumption. i like anything heavy, but to choose 1 band, it's gotta be Slayer.
