rich did a yahoo league last year, but we really didn't have enough members to make it real. i'm sure we'll do it again this year. it'll probably be more than one league this year, cuz we got a few more members now ;)

I think it would be cool to do one and have a little post about the results up on the board - though I got dumped last year and am glad that didn't get posted ::grin::

Yeah, I'd be in on that bigtime. In fact, we could arrange for (I'm guessing you did last year) the live draft, and maybe actually utilize the messageboard on yahoo, etc.

Sounds like a lot of fun (and "friendly" competition) to me, I'm definitely there if it happens. :)

Was on top prior to the finals then lost all the finals

I'm interested as well; however, I'm not hard-core enough to sit around a table and do the "draft". To me, it's much easier to rate players prior to the draft and have the league do the automatic draft for you. Once that's done, you can try to trade with others within the league to get the players you like. I like doing it that way.

The last time I was in a league was Spurrier's first year as a coach. My team was called "SkinsGatorsCowboyHaters". I went undefeated for a long time...and then finished up with only one loss...and the championship.

I won squat....just bragging rights...but it was fun.

we didn't do a live draft last year. but we only had 6 teams. this year i'm sure we'll have enough guys that we can do a league with each, both a live draft, and an automated draft..... stay tuned.

Justice Hog, you can actually do your own automated priority list for draft day and let the computer do your picks for you, no need to go hardcore and show up on draft day with the magazines and articles open etc. Believe it or not this will sometimes get a better team for you than when you are on the clock and under pressure. I've made one or two bad moves in the past when I was on the clock--which may have been done better had I just made a list beforehand and stuck with it.

Very true FFA...I couldn't make one of the live drafts last year and let the computer pick for me ended up #1 during the season and lost in the FB

Count Me in I love the idea. Live draft or pre-rankings. One question will this be for bragging rights or will a small amount of money be used to get a team. Payouts could be for 1st 2nd and 3rd. $25 a team?

ROTFALMAO

You guys wanna win money, then it better come from the money that you paid to enter, 'cause I ain't footing the bill. :-)

I don't know if I'm going to do a pool or not... it's so much work. Yeah, we can do one up at one of the fantasy 'hot spots' as well, but if I do a pool actually ON the site, I would probably do a pick 'ems game pool as opposed to a player pool.

We'll see as we get closer to the season. Like I said... there always ends up being time involved, which is the resource I lack most of.

But as already stated by the staff... I'm sure we'll have SOMETHING set up.

I would be highly interested as well. I agree with Justice Hog about the draft though. I have played with a few different leagues over the past few years and rating the players and letting the league admin conduct the draft seems to be best. My 2 cents

If there's enough interest, I'll look into doing it properly... buying Football Commissioner etc.

But if we do that, it will cost money to enter, but there would probably be payouts that way too.

I just prefer gambling when there's money involved... even if it's pittance.
