Which jersy?

Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

Which jersy?

Post by Irn-Bru »

My Stephen Davis jersy went out of commision and became a backyard football/basketball shirt this past year. This left me with only 2 Skins jersies to wear, a light and a dark Champ jersy (the one was a present after I already owned the other. . .oh well, it was from a girlfriend's mother, so she meant well).

As you can see, I'm now out of options as to what I should wear on game day. Plus, I don't have tons of cash. So when I get back to the States in early June, I've decided that I've definitely gotta have a hogs.net shirt and at least one jersy for when I do play drums at various gigs (it's my thing that I do, I guess).

Thus, I'll probably only buy one jersy. And the question is, who should it be?

I was thinking that an Arrington one might be way over due, or maybe Samuels (but is he going to be around much longer?)

If I'm to get one jersy, which one should I get? :D Oh the choices. . .

I'm thinking I want a Morton Jersey. He's going to do great with special teams this year.

I think the best one to buy is a... hmm... #60 jersey. But I can't think of the guy's name. :hmm: I think he plays for us now. Hold on... is it Fred Stokes? Greg Huntington? John Jaffurs? Mark Fischer????

Come on people! Help me out!

Well I've got a Davis authentic and a Champ replica...I'm wearing both dammit! Those of us who are poor need to make do. Plus each time I've gotten a jersey the player left the following year...so for the sake of all of us I will continue to wear the old jerseys and be snickered at for my faux paus.

I think I will show up to camp one day wearing my Bailey replica with a big circle and a line through it over the name on the back...

Just a thought

I have no advice on this, as most of my jerseys (I have a bunch) are of players no longer on the team. Armstead, Bailey, Davis, etc. What I do have, is an IDEA!!!

I am going to make easily applied name plates. The NFL doesn't have a patent on surnames, or single colors. I think I'll start with SPRINGS. That seems the most functional at the moment.

Don't go stealing my idea now!

Thanks DEHog ;) As soon as the shirts arrived I knew that I was going to have to buy one, and I expect to show it off at training camp along with everyone else.

So that one is a definite, but I'd still like some game-day b&g in the form of Arrington (the front runner after reading this thread), Samuels, Smoot, etc.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. If only I could buy 10 jersies every season. . .

Just get burgundy or white duct tape, cover up BAILEY and get the appropriate colored marker and write SPRINGS. Problem solved.

Hey, why not a #1 "Gibbs" jersery in honor of the greatest football coach in Skins history?

Yeah, I was wondering about doing something like that, Red(eemed)skin. My ideas were more along the lines of getting a #70 Huff jersy, since I've never seen that one being sold (and, I'd imagine, if it was being sold then I probably couldn't afford it).

Then again, how much are those custom-made (or authentic or what-have-you) dealies?
