MEDICAL WATCH: CB Ralph Brown (shoulder) returned to the field in the post-draft minicamp and was able to participate in team drills. ... RB Trung Canidate (foot) sat out minicamp. He has a good chance of being cut before or during training camp, though the June 1 date is not a factor. ... WR Laveranues Coles (toe) participated in minicamp but had to trim his activity on the third day. He remains bothered by last season's stress fracture in his right big toe. ... G Derrick Dockery (shoulder) returned to limited activity in minicamp. ... G Dave Fiore (knee) sat out minicamp and there seems to be a fair chance that he'll sit out this season or perhaps retire. ... DT Jermaine Haley (shoulder) returned to limited activity in minicamp. ... CB Walt Harris (knee) sat out most of minicamp. He won't be full-go until training camp. ... WR Darnerien McCants (shoulder) was very limited in minicamp. ... DT Brandon Noble (knee) did a surprising amount of activity in minicamp. He lined up with the starters in individual work. ... QB Patrick Ramsey (foot) was full-go for team activities and shared first-string snaps with QB Mark Brunell. ... T Chris Samuels (ankle/shoulder) returned to limited participation at minicamp but won't be full-go until later this summer. ... LB Clifton Smith (shoulder) increased his work from the first minicamp. ... CB Shawn Springs (leg) participated in minicamp, his first full practices as a Redskin. He still isn't 100 percent but should be in coming weeks. ... LB Marcus Washington (tailbone) participated in minicamp, his first practices as a Redskin. nope, i'm not that concerned. They all had some physical participation in the mini camps...they have plenty of time to heal their injuries. gibbs knew well enough about their injuries when he signed them, if he's not worried then i'm not gunna stress.

Coles however, might be in the back of my head. that seems like a long time to heal a toe, but i don't know much about that kind of injury so i can't speak on it too much.

This is too funny, i hope the Skins-hater realizes that the season is months away. I sure hope you keep up with the Cow-girls the way you do with the skins.

I actually think that most cow-girls fans are a bit nervous that we now have a experienced and skilled coach as well as lots of weapons to go along with it.

Hey "Gambit or Gamit" are you worried about the fact that you dont have a quarterback who you coach really supports or trusts and a suspect running game?

What is there to be scared of Gambit? This is all we were able to read last year... injury reports.

Does the Cowboys 2004 draft class scare you? :mrgreen:

Well jake how could i be worried, when we got a 3 year stater at Tackle from USC (co-national champion), Also a 3 year starting Guard from LSU (co-national champion). A very good running back whose stats are comparalbe if not better then the other RB's in the draft and he played for a team with less talent then his competition.

I see that toe of Coles and those injuries to the CB's you guys signed as lingering problems.

All of our CBs will be ready for the begining of the season. Ralph Brown and Shawn Springs practiced and are just a few weeks away from being completely healthy. Everyone knew about these injuries long ago and they have gotten better rather quickly. Coles worries me a little but he was amazing last year with the same injury.

However, I am thrilled at this: "DT Brandon Noble (knee) did a surprising amount of activity in minicamp. He lined up with the starters in individual work." That is good to hear!

Last time I checked its freakin MAY. If it was october I would be a hell of alot more concerned. What that tells me as alot of guys played through injuries during the season, and alot of guys are still recovering from surgeries. The season dosent start for almost 4 months.

Also Gambit, If you know anything about football, rookie O lineman normally have a lot of trouble adjusting to the NFL, so if I were you I'd be really worried about your O line(with the exception of Flozell), and larry Allen is all but done. Qunicy makes stupid desicions when he has time, lets see what happens when he has no time to throw this year. Or you could put your rookie QB back there with your inexexpeirenced line, and to top it all off you have a rookie Running back. If all goes well for julius he might, just might, be able to be almost as good as his brother thomas

I tend to agree - many of these are nothing more than people recovering from injury surgeries... I bet the list is half this by the next mini camp and the majority will be well and ready for training camp

I'm not sure sure of that gambit, when you talk of comparable stats. Julius Jones had one 1000 yd season in his college career, I wouldn't consider his stats better than Steven Jackson's. I know that 1st rounder the Bills threw in was hard to pass up, but to anoint J.Jones as the starter is a considerable risk. I will say he has the low center of gravity and leg drive you want out of a back, but that's a lot to put on the shoulders of Thomas Jones' little brother (Remember his rookie splash? Right, no one does).

Now to the topic: The injury I'd be most concerned with is Coles, because he played on it for so long last season, the healing process could prove to be difficult. I do think that Joe has brought on enough depth to compensate on a short term basis.

The most encouraging on that report was the progress of Brandon Noble, not that I expect him to come out like Sapp, but what Joe and his staff have crafted for the B&G is a team that is conceivably two-deep at every position. Combine that with it being only May, I'm not trippin too hard.

If Coles' toe didn't bother him last year, why will this year be any different? And the injury problem consists with one starter and one backup. Signing Springs was an issue to me because of his injury problems. Ralph Brown was on IR last year but he's a backup. Injuries are nothing I fret over.

Well with out Gambit most post probally would end early. You would not have anyone to pick on. You would not have a loyal cowboy fan that you would be able to verbally spar with that would not run everytime you guys jump me..... :lol:

So emmit smith is a fluke??? he's not doing to hot with the cardinals right now.... I mean when the boys were winning all those SB.... the skins, giants and birds weren't exactly at the top of there games....... I mean yes in the back of our minds were thinking there's a chance it was the system, but when you watch CP run and make the cuts and moves that he makes.... were pretty confident that he's not a fluke

Let me say this now in my opinion the Skins, Eagles and Giants have always had respectable defenses. Well the skins have been lacking lately.
