Cowboys want stadium - City is balking

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Cowboys want stadium - City is balking

Post by skinsfaninroanoke »

DALLAS -- Funding a new stadium for the Dallas Cowboys would create the nation's highest hotel occupancy tax, says the city's hotel association in voting to oppose the plan.

Dallas County commissioners have also balked at the team's proposal for a new $650 million, retractable-dome stadium near downtown, with $425 million to be financed by taxpayers.

Cowboys owner "Jerry Jones has the means to pay for his own stadium," said Frank Naboulsi, chairman of the Hotel Association of Greater Dallas.

I still think the Arizona Cardinals are building an excellent stadium.

from what i've seen of their fan base at home on tv, they only need about 25,000 seats.

You never know, they could have a better turnout in a stadium that didn't have metal benches in the stands.

I think Jerry Jones should move his team. Pack them up and take a long trip off a short peer.
