Three from area in fold

The Washington Redskins yesterday announced the signing of 10 undrafted rookies, including three District-area players.
Maryland wide receiver Jafar Williams and safety Dennard Wilson and Howard wide receiver Jonathan Brewer signed with the Redskins after participating in the workout for local prospects at Redskin Park earlier this month.
Also signing were UCLA defensive lineman Ryan Boschetti, Florida State defensive back Rufus Brown, BYU offensive lineman Quinn Christensen, Michigan defensive lineman Norman Heuer, New Mexico linebacker William Strother, Purdue wide receiver John Standeford and Virginia Tech defensive back Garnell Wilds.
Meanwhile, coach Joe Gibbs said offensive consultant Ernie Zampese was scheduled to arrive yesterday for a 10-day visit to become more familiar with Washington's personnel. Zampese will help devise schemes for certain facets of Gibbs' offense but will work from his West Coast home.
