DOVER, Del. – Wesley College standout running back Jamar Baynard has been invited to the Washington Redskins rookie minicamp.
"I'm blessed to get this chance with the Redskins," Baynard said. "I've been working hard to get ready for a camp and I glad that the call came. I'm ready to give it my all during camp."
Baynard was named to the D3football.com All-East Region First Team in 2016 and was a two-time honoree on the All-New Jersey Athletic Conference First Team. Baynard is tops on Wesley's career scoring, rushing attempts, rushing touchdowns and total touchdown lists. Baynard has accumulated over 5,500 yards of total offense and 59 touchdowns in his career.
"We're so proud of Jamar and are excited for his opportunity," head coach Mike Drass stated.
Redskins rookie minicamp will run from May 12-14 at the team's headquarters in Ashburn. Va.
I know he's a long shot, but he's a great kid! Had the opportunity to coach against him in HS and watch his college career here at Wesley.
Great athlete can catch the ball as well. Wesley is a great D3 program, put a QB in the NFL last year (Green Bay).

If the Redskins were a musical group there probably would be more talk about it. Instead, they're a circus. Send in the clowns.
