Two Back Sets

Late in the Bears game, there were a number of plays where we saw two back sets with Rob Kelley playing up and Mack Brown playing back. I liked that look and thought the wrinkle could cause some second guessing for the defense. Hopefully we'll see more of it this week against the Giants. 30+ rush attempts certainly means we're seeing winning football.

If the Redskins have an extra TE, call him "Clint Didier", let him block or catch passes. (The reasoning that led to creation of the H-back). Kelley has a sprained knee...don't risk further injury.

Having two stud runningbacks is a luxury you don't always have. It's not impossible to find a way to utilize them both. Especially when they offer different skill sets.

I must be getting old. But two back sets used to be normal. I-formation used to be a bread and butter formation. It's crazy to think that the fullback position is basically non existent in today's NFL.

Today's gurus think they know it all. But if you look at the cowturds. They are doing it the old fashioned way. Brute force. Nothing complicated just a solid Oline and Rb.

What I like about the two RB's is that the defense has two options to consider. Rather than a TE/H-HBack and a RB where only one of the two will run the ball. The two RB's allows our offense some flexibility which might cause a defender to hesitate.
