Looking forward to Arizona

Post by Prowl33 »

Sundays Arizona game is going to be important for us to watch, they lose this one, it all but drops them out of the wildcard hunt, which is great for us.

Dallas is a really good team, we've barely lost to then twice... pre cousins that Dallas team would have DESTROYED us. We are a better team than the 5 upcoming teams we face... and realistically we can lose 2 if the upcoming 5 and still have a favored chance of making the playoffs at 9-6-1.

The 1 Game at a time mentality needs to continue, because we have a good chance to get in the playoffs starting with beating the cards.

They got destroyed by Atlanta, so that makes me feel a bit better about this game. I'm still worried that it's on the road, and we won't be able to stop their run game. The Cards still scare me the most out of our remaining opponents.

I think this is one of those games we have to win down the stretch if we want to keep playoffs a possibility. We have to get least three of the next five to have any shot, and none of these remaining games are gimmes.

Looking forward to digging into this matchup more this week.

By many measures, ARZ has the best D in the league. There is not a huge margin for error in this match-up. Stopping their run is paramount. Palmer can be pressured and rattled. Our DBs should be able to handle their WR corps. Making all our FG attempts (or not having as many due to TDs) would be nice.

You seem to have pasted attendance figures, a bunch of offense from ARZ, and some "big" games by a few opposing players ...

McCoy runs for 110.
Gabbert throws for 162 and 102 of it goes to Kerley.
Marshall gets 70 yards receiving.
Stewart runs for 110.
Kap runs for 55.
Thielen gets 55 yards receiving.
Freeman runs for 60.

:hmm:

Have a few teams scored on 'em? Sure. Doesn't make my post or the rankings wrong.

ARZ is #1 in NFL for fewest yards allowed. =;
ARZ #1 in NFL for fewest TD passes allowed. [-(
ARZ 13 yards behind Denver for fewest passing yards allowed. 8-[

Since we are the #2 offense in yards gained, have thrown for 20 of our 29 offensive TDs, and are 51 yards behind New Orleans for #1 in NFL passing offense I'd call it strength on strength against one of the best defenses in the NFL.

Turns out ARZ has the NFL's #2 rusher. As I said, stopping their run is paramount and there is not a lot of margin for error in this one.

not sure I understand this reasoning - The Cardinals are one of a number of good teams that normally follow up bad games with good games and especially because they are playing at home and this game is a lot more important for them

I fully expect the Vikings to beat the pukes this week - they are not as good as the pukes but they will be a lot more motivated and beating Dallas is simply a matter of making them throw the ball - the Vikings will have watched film and will stop the run game
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I'm sure the Vikes will do a decent job at stopping the run with the Cowboys. The Vikes' problem though is that their offense is HORRIBLE. They cannot run the ball at all.

Saw no sense in quoting that mess again. Guess the code tags didn't take.

Anyway, the point was they've given up a lot of points to some really bad teams.

They're 11th in points allowed per game.

I still think that the Vikings have the better HC and the better QB - and ... the pukes are not near as good as the media thinks

Makes sense. I'll be picking the Cowboys.

Damn, man. I'm not trying to help you with your picks. Aren't you killing everyone in Hognostications??? I picked 11 winners the past two weeks and still can't even see you from where I'm ranked!!!

SJ, do you really believe Bradford is a better QB than Dak? I know Prescott is still a rookie and the jury needs to be out on him, but Bradford has just shown himself to be wildly inconsistent. I'd take Prescott any day over him.

Thanks for posting those Cards numbers btw.

I'm not 'sold' on the puke QB - he's got better players on offense than Bradford

the vikings win this game and the pukes win the NFC East

we have to find a way to win in Arizona - this would be a huge boost for the Redskins

Yeah I don't think anyone should be sold on Dak Prescott yet. My point was more towards Bradford. He's proven to be the same QB with three teams now from what I can see.

Sucks to say, but I'm hoping the Pukes beat them this weekend. We're competing with the Vikes for the wildcard.

Was definitely going with the Cowgirls anyway. 8)

And no kidding about Hognostications - I just went 9, 9, 9, 11, 11 and the only week that won was the first 9.
