Redskins @ Buccaneers - Maybe
The weather in Tampa is pretty bad. The field is already flooded. The game may or may not take place due to player safety. As of right now it's still scheduled to go on at 8:00PM.

Bummer, I really wanted to see some of these guys play, esp our rookie QB. I've never 'seen' him play just heard it on the radio.

Cravens takes a cheap penalty.

Murphy uses his head and touches the downed QB instead of tackling him.

Harris was mugged. No call.

Bates with a great special teams play, Kelley with the recovery for a TD, officials with the mysterious "play was dead" call.

Good reversal by the refs on that fumble TD. Runner was stopped.

Hell of a TD run by Mack Brown. Might have just bought himself a roster spot.

Our backups are so much better than theirs. Ten players we'll likely cut should just stay in Tampa.

If all you looked at was the stat sheet you'd think the team should keep Kelley and Brown and cut Jones, Thompson, and Marshall.

How bad is Marshall's injury??
Is there a world where we keep Kelley AND Mack??
I've liked Brown as the strongest runner all preseason. Good vision but Kelley has the best and or possibly a better burst to fill the hole.
Jones is a lock but is Thompson worth letting one of these boys walk? I'm not expecting more then one rb to the practice squad, right?

I think you keep four RB's and that would leave Brown and Kelley on the roster.

Seeing R. Griffin's passing stats on our game ticker makes me chuckle.
I like our younger players.

Thorpe with a really nice catch and run.

Including, er actually not.... the FB position right? With DY gone, our TE doubles as a fb, so 4rbs would be possible

That was too easy. Kelley and Brown are keepers for sure. Spaight and Cravens were impressive. I watched Reiter and I thought he did good but then realized the talent he was up against isn't what he would see in a real game. What happened to Ross? Did he go brain dead? I saw 2 punts hit the field in front of him! How does a punt returner return anything watching the ball hit the field? I've been a supporter of Ross and at a loss over what I saw.

It was raining hard, and the D was on top of him. Better to let it just drop than attempt a fair catch and risk a muff. Besides, the soggy ground kept the ball from bouncing, and it pretty much stayed right where it landed.

And he fielded at least one off the bounce... where as the bucs returner muffed two of the rain soaked punts and nearly gave up a TD trying to make a play. Ross did perfect in that regard as far as I'm concerned

You guys are probably right. maybe that was what gruden wanted him to do. Ross' goof in the 2nd series catching the short pass shy of the 1st down kinda set me on edge and then the punt stuff - I've always thought of him as an aggressive player and those plays were out of character for him.
What was up with Paulson? He couldn't catch, missed blocks and got penalties? I've always thought of him as a solid player and last night all went sideways for him. Hope that is out of his system now.

He may be out of our system after last night.
