I made the deadline for picks be 5 minutes BEFORE EACH GAME.

If you forget to make your picks you won't get a zero. You will get the worst score that week minus 1.

Wouldn't the worst score that week minus 1 be the worst score that week?

Yes. After you forget to make your picks I will find the lowest score of the week and assign you that score minus one making your score the worst score of the week.

I'm back!!!

I am assuming that once I log into the Hognostications site on CBS Sports then I am officially entered again?

This year I won't tell the "Mrs." who, for some godforsake reason, doesn't like me participating in free football pools.

Must be that little "gambling" problem I had a few years back.

Hey, maybe I'll sign up 14 more times. That way, I can pick differently on every game (except the 'Skins, of course ). Then I could say I correctly picked every game, all season ('cause the 'Skins are going 16-0).

Exactly. What is more likely (and has happened) is they'll use one account some weeks and another on other weeks and end up getting the worst score of the week several times on each account.

Rules, etc.

We predict the total number of points scored on MNF. If there is more than one Monday night game, CBS will tell you which one to use for points.

The weekly winner is the Hognosticator with the most correct picks that week. The MNF score breaks ties. There is no penalty for going over the total points scored.

If you accidentally blow it and forget to make your picks, you get the score of the week's worst Hognosticator minus 1.

The winner for the year is the Hognosticator with the highest total of correct picks. The first tie break is most weekly wins. The next tie break is smallest average percent deviation from the actual MNF scores.

The Deadman runs a separate playoff pool after the regular season champ is crowned.

Though there is no strict rule prohibiting the picking of a Redskin opponent, the practice is highly frowned upon. Doing so is very bad form and the scum bag who does so is referred to as a Hognostitraitor.

NO HOGNOSTITRAITOR HAS EVER WON HOGNOSTICATIONS FOR THE YEAR.

To make this even more painful, I won the week by a game anyway. If only I had done it during the day, when I first thought about it, I would have gained two games on the field.

Deleted except for Justice Hog. He has 2 accounts. He did not make picks Week 2 on one of them and got 6+ that week since the worst guy that week (Deadman, etal.) got 7. But he DID make the picks on the other account Week 2 and got 7 right. I'm going fix the account he's used 3 times, give him 7 for Week 2, and delete the account he's only used once.

I see what you did there. Not to worry, that was my worst week (-3) and the only reason I'm not in first (+2) right now. Still can't believe I missed the Thursday night game week 3.

Well, not the only reason. I left a few out there as well.

Anyway, everyone is now down to ONE FRICKING ACCOUNT and anyone who made no picks for 4 weeks is gone.

so i'm watching the pukes demolish the Bengals ... all the while thinking I had picked the pukes
