Another ex-Redskins to shine for another team?

Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

Another ex-Redskins to shine for another team?

Post by tribeofjudah »

I was hoping Hank would be an impact player. Maybe he will become that in Hotlanta. I wish him well.

Falcons coaches really like Leonard Hankerson
The Falcons' coaches reportedly "really like" Leonard Hankerson.
Hankerson has prototypical size (6'2/211) and speed (4.43), and showed big in the offseason program. Perhaps most importantly, he was brought in by new OC Kyle Shanahan, who clearly liked what he saw from Hankerson during their time together in Washington. With Roddy White falling off the career cliff and turning 34 in November, beat writer Vaughn McClure says White needs a strong and healthy training camp to avoid getting pushed by Hankerson. "White should maintain his starting role, but Leonard Hankerson could see more time on the field when it's all said and done," wrote McClure.

Yeah me too. This is one of those cases where I don't think either the player or the team have done anything wrong. Hank showed a lot of potential, just unlucky with the injuries here.

Why do you guys wish him well?
I'm not wishing him anything.

If you're not a Redskin, you're not helping my team so he can shove it.

"Another" ex-Redskin? When was the last time we let a legit talent go only to see them shine somewhere else?

I'm all for parting ways when someone doesn't work out 3, 4, 5 years in a row.

Champ Bailey, Ryan Clark, Antonio Pierce, Brandon Lloyd had one good season with Denver, and Carlos Rogers had a good year with SF after leaving us.

This proves my point, I think. It's time to let what happened in 2003 go. That season is as close to our last Super Bowl win as it is this upcoming season.

Releasing Gano was a mistake that still hurts me a little. Oh well.

I have no idea how Rambo is doing in Buffalo (all I know is their defense in general is very good), but I do think we released him a little too soon. I guess the coaches felt they had a good assessment of his talent or that he simply wasn't going to recover psychologically from early habits and mistakes.
