If Williams drops to #5

Post by Prowl33 »

So it looks probable that if Williams gets past the #2 spot, he will make it to us at #5.

He is pretty widely thought of as the best player in the draft. So... at #5 do we take him? Do we listen to trade offers? If we do listen to offers what should it take to make us move and who would likely be calling?

For me, I think we take him unless someone offers up #1 pick value... like their #2 and 3 or 4 this year, and #1 and #2 next year... otherwise, even with our latest additions, we are drafting BPA and at #5 not much arguing that.

Williams is the best player in this class. No brainer... deliver the card to the Commissioner.

I agree best player on the entire board of all boards. So its easy of course we take him.

All though I would say that if Jameis did not have the off the field issues I would argue that Jameis is the best player overall at the most important position.

But back to the topic at hand. Williams might very well drop. But I still dont see how he makes past the Raiders either. Since the Raiders have needs all over the roster.

What about Jacksonville?

The Jaguars could give serious consideration to Williams. Jacksonville needs a defensive franchise player, which Williams could be for Gus Bradley. Bradley and defensive line coach Todd Wash have a coaching history with Kiffin as well. Williams would be a good fit in the Jaguars' mix of the Tampa 2 and the Seahawks' defense.

If L. Williams makes it to the #5 spot, he's a Redskin
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
