2015 Combine

Post by Countertrey »

Watching quarterbacks...

Winston very obviously gifted. Clearly the best out there... and I like watching how much he LIKES being with all the other quarterbacks... clearly a natural leader. I'm thinking, he is absolutely worth the risk at the #1 pick.

Mariotta... talented, but looks like a guy who has not had to work under center much... VERY nice touch on his passes... surprised me with his deep passes.

Bryce Petty reminds me of Mark Rypien... natural thrower... beautiful passes... BIG guy BIG arm. I know he hasn't worked out of a pocket much, but he seems to be a natural. Gibbs would love him. Would be a nice fit in a WCO. He also looks like he would be a Roethlisberger type of pocket warrior... who would give his receivers every last second to make a play.

thanks 'trey - very informative ...

it is very important for these very talented kids to go to a franchise that will help them grow and adapt to the NFL game

they are all very good at this time but the ones that will become good/great NFL QBs will need a lot of help

it's not a given ...
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

What about Ali Marpet, the 307 lb offensive lineman who ran a sub 5 40.

Would he be a good pick for the Redskins?
Do you think he'll still be on the board after a few rounds?

Ahh.. Stock has risen due to his athleticism... Probably coach able, sure has the talent, but had problems focusing on fundamentals... Some risk, but who wouldn't want a G/C with that size and athleticism in combo?
