Gruden's Strange Answer to QB...

Post by StorminMormon86 »

I thought Gruden was going to have his normal press conference today at 3:00, but apparently due to the trip from San Fran back home, he instead had a phone conference with reporters. Per John Keim, he said Gruden started off by saying he had "every intent" to start Griffin against Indy. Then he went on to say how no starter's position is safe, and that they're evaluating the last couple of games and that there may be changes on Wednesday. Continued with "as of 3:15 p.m." Griffin gives the team the best chance to win, but that could change come Wednesday. Anyone else confused!?

No not really. I think he is telling it as it is. Sort of like I thought.

According to "insider" Chris Russell, Snyder is 100,000% behind Griffin, Allen is 50/50, and the coaches are done with him.

I heard that Gruden has already told Colt he's going to start on Sunday and does not want the Colts to know ...

the franchise, not the Colt family - you heard it here first on THN

Colt is going to finish out the season and Gruden's tenure here
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Apologies for this thread, I was reading twitter updates from John Keim, who made the phone presser seem more confusing than it was. This was what he said when asked about a QB change:

"It’s Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock, and right now we have every intent for Robert, but we’ll look at the tape and make our evaluations here shortly."

He also said he was going to speak with Griffin, Cousins, and McCoy before making a final decision tomorrow.
