Re: stop the nonsense!
Been saying that since....
FOREVER!!
Rg3 is a dynamic athlete and game changer. He is learning and progressing into what we need him to be for years to come... this freak accident isnt on his inability to stay healthy- its on the crap turf that Danny boy has waaay to many events on injuring our players year in year out.
Cousins can at times fet ridbof the ball quicker, but throwing to the wrong team doesnt make it any better then taking a sack at worse. Cousins was exposed tonight- we were only missing one starter on offense. . He just isnt a quality starter.
Griffin will show the world sooner or later what they have been missing.
Until then... it cant get any worse then tonight was. Wow that was about as bad as last years season opener. I guess I expcted this to be the opposite and last year expectd a slug fest so maybe this was the worse ove seen. The turn over machine at qb was embarrassing to watch

Re: stop the nonsense!
He never won the game as a starter and the opponent prepared for him. And he's nothing special. Not looking forward to their Monday night game. Hopefully Seattle doesn't get a blow out
Re: stop the nonsense!
I'll get some hate for this & I'm noy trolling, but I think Griffin isn't our answer either. He's had major pocket ADD and he has a track record of not being able to stay healthy.
Sorry, just call in it as I see it...would love to be wrong on this, but I think he's fried.
Even if he does come back good, he's fragile.

Good recievers and a running game. Offense is good, online needs some workwork. Brady would be living the high life

Agree with this. We have one of the best WR cores in the NFL. We have one of the best RBs in the game. Our offense is sound. This off-season the FO focused on improving our offense.......... when our D was ranked in the bottom 5 of the NFL the prior year.
Oh wait, they did draft a OLB with our second round pick...... which is the ONLY defensive position we didn't need to upgrade......
Well they did sign Clark...... similarly to the past 15 years......... signing players who should be taken out to the pasture and taken care of. Same thing with Hatcher..... oh is he banged up??? Who would have guessed a mid-30s DE would get hurt??????
I'm just waiting until Desean Jackson starts getting pissed about the lack of opportunity and loser mentality here.
We are looking at a product produced by idiots. We can't draft. We never have been able to BECAUSE top FO personnel do NOT want to deal with Snyder. I have heard this FIRST HAND. It is similar to the corporate world --- if you had your choice would you want to go to a company/firm that has constant turnover, a fire happy CEO, and has been consistently unsuccessful? And with regards to "paying" them over market ---- the great ones don't care about the $$$; they know they'll get enough and realize that success makes you even more money down the road. They are more concerned about freedom to do things "their way" ---- i.e., the way that has made them succesful.
I said this in 2001, it was one of my first posts on this forum, and I'll say it again now: The Redskins franchise will not be consistently successful as long as Snyder is our owner. This has been proven time and time again for the past, close to, 20 years now. I am not interested in his excuses. Snyder lacks the characteristics to make him a good owner.
RIP Sean Taylor. You will be missed.

A redskins fan.. using some clever acronym to bash his own qb? Clever.
I dont really need to ask what the 0 stands for because that would indicate I give a *sh$t*.
Hes no longer in the cast from what ive read.

You can't say RG3 isn't the man, for any reason, and not get labeled as a hater...if for no other reason now, I just don't think he can stay healthy long enough for anyone to find out how good he could be, or could have been...

Re: stop the nonsense!
It was a bad game ... coaching & players stunk it up - it was a short week (for both teams) and we had some players out
we still have areas of concern and we knew months ago we'd probably have issues with the O line and the secondary
we're not as bad as some here are making it out to be

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

A bit understated I think. It was a short week for both teams, so I don't consider that a factor in the least. I applaud your optimism, though.
I agree that we have areas of concern --- and this has been a fairly consistent issue ---- and it shows how disgustingly bad our team drafts. Since 2011 we have drafted 6 OLs and 8 secondary players. I think it is safe to say that of those 14 players, only Amerson appears to be of solid starter quality (jury still out on breeland) --- and that is still 100% to be determined.
One of the MAJOR reasons for why we haven't had an opportunity to draft well is because we don't maintain our top picks. Since 2012, our lack of picks had to do with the RGIII trade., but it goes back even further. In 2010 we only had 2 picks in the first 5 rounds; in 2009 we had an extremely thin 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 7 picks. Only 2 players drafted in 2008 (out of 10 total) are still in the league and they aren't with the skins. In 2007 AND 2006 we only had 1 PICK in the first 4 rounds!!! The 2010-2006 drafts would be our "vet" players; aka our leaders. We basically wasted 2006-2010 drafts....... and somehow we have the expectation that we can compete????
I said it before, the organization STINKS of desperation. We mortgage our future year in and year out. We consistently lose out on trades by giving away more for less. And we are constantly trying to play catch-up due to these poor player personnel decisions. Based on the draft history above, I don't consider this even disputable.
We are what our record says we are. We are a 1-3 team.
No matter what, we need a GM. A real GM. A guy that RUNS the team and 100% in charge of scouting and talent evaluation. I don't consider Allen to be a PURE GM like Bethard was or Newsome. And honestly, I don't see that happening as long as Snyder is the owner.
RIP Sean Taylor. You will be missed.

Um, no. Someone needs to go back to grade school to study English. If they were two separate comments, then the punctuation you were looking for was a period.

you just select what you want ... let me help with some facts ... "we are a 1-3 team" - well .. there are 10 others that have as many or worse including the Rams, Saints, and Chiefs ... PLUS ... there are 14 teams with 1 more win including Patriots, Colts, Broncos, Packers, Falcons, Panthers, Seahawks and 49ers ..
I guess they all need to make wholesale changes

get real - we understand we're making changes and we've been hurt by the mess of the past 2 years - give these guys a chance

WRONG. AGAIN --- mainly in that your comprehension skills have failed you yet again (which I would consider a larger issue than mere grammar). The statement wasn't a 2 part one; it was, in fact, a 3 part statement.
The original statement was: "I said this in 2001, it was one of my first posts on this forum, and I'll say it again now:"
Each comma separated 3 statements all of which were connected by the same conclusion. Had I used a period, it would have caused confusion as to their relationship with one another. I used the oxford comma to support this. If it was just the two statements they would be separated by a ; or a period. When using 3 or more items --- you use commas.

Learn your grammar, son.
And son, this is a redskins forum. Who cares about spelling, grammar, etc. You are always bring this crap up with other posters and it is completely off-topic (mostly to divert attention from some of your more inaccurate posts). Perhaps you would be more comfortable taking your screenname and posting here: https://www.englishclub.com/esl-forums/ ... .php?f=199.
