Redskins Eagles Game Day Thread

Post by Kilmer72 »

I predict that if the Redskins can score more points than the Eagles the Skins will win. Thoughts?

Quite the bold prediction there.

I'm both nervous and excited for this game.

Foles is going to have a very long day. With Merriweather back we can now contain their screens. We can now do more things on defense. Don't be nervous.

I'm not feeling optimistic today. Would love to break their hearts with an upset, but their system seems like the next advance in NFL offense mechanics, and I don't think NFL defenses have really solved the puzzle yet. If we can contain McCoy in the run game, I think we have a chance.

Interesting post you may be right. I was more optimistic about this game before I saw the Colts vs Eagles game and starting thinking the Eagles have a bit too much for the Skins today. I think the Eagles eek out a 34-27 type win that leaves the Redskins encouraged that they can compete on the road against the the Eagles but disappointed they didn't win. I think a near miss today could fuel a win over the Giants and a split in the Seahawks and Cardinals games.

Hopefully I'm wrong and they win this but the team is coming off a 3-13 season and it's tough to become mentally tough enough to win match up games on the road after a history of losing. A win today could really put them in good position in the conference and start a roll, maybe a good performance in a loss could be a positive also.

Am I the only who saw the late hit on DeSean and that's why he shoved #27?

I saw it. I think it was 27 who tried to take off his head while he was on the turf. I think that was the reason for the call.
