What number will Sean Taylor wear if he becomes a Skin?

Post by Redskins4Life »

Portis and Iffy are arguing who should wear number 26, and its kind of coincidental that Sean Taylor wears the same number. I highly doubt Taylor will get the number if Portis does not, and I was wondering what numbers are available? I think tight looking numbers are that MIGHT be available are.... 20, 22, 27, 30 (assuming Candidate gets cut), and 31. What other #'s are available?

First of all, I hope Gibbs sees that Iffy is the senior player who was here longer and deserves the number.

Two, Canidate hasn't been cut, yet. I hope he doesn't so that he can stay as a super substitute.

Three, #1, I think, isn't taken. I can see Portis and Taylor fighting over that number, actually.

I hope it's number "20". That's my favorite number and I just bought my official Redskins "Justice Hog" jersey with #20 on it...and another shirt with "Justice Hog" and #20 on it.

Yeah I agree both the numbers 20 and 27 look great on a jersey. 36 im not so sure I like so much. I'd hope 20 would be the jersey Taylor picks. But like ANT said, who cares about the # as long as Taylor's in a Skins uniform.

No can do. I'm pretty sure the NFL won't let anyone wear #1 but a kicker or a QB. The only reason Meshawn gets to wear 19 is because the Jets had used up all of their 80's when they drafted him. Running backs and Safeties are supposed to be able to choose from something like 20-49.

Iffy will keep 26 and Portis will have to find a new number. Since Taylor, if he is indeed drafted, will be the 3rd in line as far as tenure goes, he'll get stuck with leftovers. At least that's what would happen if I were the coach.
