Week 16 hopeful outcomes

Post by chiefhog44 »

In order, this is what we should be rooting for this weekend to not only make the playoffs but position us perfectly once we make it.

1 Skins over Eagles
2 Baltimore over NY (if the Giants lose this game, our chances of making the playoffs would increase DRAMATICALLY)
3 Cardinals over Bears (If number 1 happens, and number 2 happens, and number 3 happens, we would pretty much be set with a spot in the playoffs if Minnesota loses to either Houston or Green Bay even if we rest our starters against the Cowboys)
4 Houston over Minnesota
5 Saints over Cowboys
6 San Francisco over Seahawks (this is big if do not want to see the Seahawks in round 1...which is the most likely outcome)

There is a really cool site on ESPN to check this. It's called NFL Playoff Machine

Have you checked out the Playoff Scenario Generator thread in the ATL forum?

Your order looks good to me. I'd like to pay back the Shehawks but they are scary for sure. They are our most likely opponent in 3 weeks.

The Seahawks have pretty much sucked on the road this year, especially on the east coast. Yes, they beat Buffalo, but c'mon. I'd take them at home over many of the other teams, particularly NFC East rivals.

NOTHING matters - we just need to win the next game

this is going to be tough - it's the eagles at home in their last game at home this year

AND

Andy Reid's last game as eagles HC at home

they will be fired up to beat the Redskins - expect to see a bunch of 4th down offense

this is a really tough game
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

It would be so wrong for the Seahawks given the incorrect call that gave thm the win against the Packers.

there were many bad calls during many games - that was just one of them

the Packers should never have let it come down to that ...

we have seen some blatantly bad calls against the Redskins lately too

we just need to take care of business

this team is not going to be denied

I would rather clinch the wild card and play the cowboys on the road

Yes, and Chicago is playing so well right now. I just happened to have watched that game, and the Seahawks got lucky to squeak out that W in OT. Chicago choked.

Agree. And look at their schedule this year. They may have had the most difficult SOS in the league.

@ Philly is always difficult. I obviously think it is our game to lose, but they will have motivation to play well -- especially when many are playing for roster spots from a new coach.......

Philly weather - looks like a sunny but cold day with some wind and the inevitable wind chill

By far the most impressive aspect of the 5 game winning streak for me has been this teams ability to stare directly at adversity, laugh and prevail. Not one game (other than the first eagle's game and even then there were issues to be dealt with (e.g. westbrook's running all over us in first half)) in that streak has been a cake walk. I am as shocked to say this as anything about this team I don't recognize, but the last thing I am worried about is their mindset or if they'll show up to play.

Frankly, I don't think the items you mentioned (all of which are right on, imo) re: the eagles will make a bit of difference when they play these Washington Redskins.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

I don't know, I think the Smeagols may have packed it in already. They will play the G-strings tough in NJ, though.

I'd agree that the Redskins' players and coaches will not be looking at this game any differently or with any less purpose and desire than we've seen the past 5 games

I do think the eagles will show up and play very hard - I do think they will play a lot more aggressively as they have everything to gain

I hear that LeSean McCoy will play this week and rotate with Bryce Brown .. HOWEVER - I think the eagles will try and use the pass a lot more than the run plays - and I look for them to try a lot of deep pass routes to take advantage of our secondary - I doubt it works this week either - this defense may have given up some yards but they've kept us in the games

I expect a win .... but not a blowout this week

Lmao
I'd like to agree... But I'd like to build momentum and chemistry headed into week 17 @ home vs the pukes.. with them getting crushed by NO. I'm completely good with two rediculius blows outs vs east rivals!
Duck fallas!
