Official Gameday Thread - Skins vs Bears

Post by frankcal20 »

RG3 will be playing for the first half tonight. What expectations do you have for him?
My projected stat line:

RG3 - 14/19 210 yds 2 TDs

RB - Morris w/ 65 yds no TDs

WR - Garcon 45 yds 1 TD

TE - 3 catches 30 yds

Defense - I expect 3 sacks (Orakpo w/ 2) and 2 turnovers

4 INTs for Hall :)

For RGIII, I am looking to see more throwing on the run, mostly by design. The media practice reports claim that he has been struggling with that. I expect to see him get the chance to put it together in the games. This means more TE catches. I expect to see more passes to Davis, particularly. I also expect Paul to continue to be targeted.

My guess who is starting OL is Williams, LeRibeus, Monty, Gettis, Polumbus. I don't expect Williams in there but a serious or two. Black looks like the replacement. I don't expect the 1st team to get much on the ground because of the patchwork O line.

I expect RGIII to get a stronger pass rush today.

For the WR Battle (Garcon, Moss, Hank and Morgan not included in this battle): Briscoe and Armstrong to get the most passes

Crawford and Banks return punts

KOR - With Robbie Gould kicking off - nit a chance unless they pooch kick and want to work on KOR. Tristan Daivs and Anthony Armstrong.

Defense

I expect Merriweather to be hitting as hard as ever

First team D will be great.

:D I just want to see Rg3 in action again, I think RG3 to garcon will try to build more on. TE I think Paul could get some more chances but if he continues to struggle then next presason game i think they will put cooley back in the mix to see what he has left. We could see a couple deep outs also that could be exciting if Rg3 connects. I expect Banks to still look rough at WR. cause he is not one. Hope for the better cream to rise to top at WR like Briscoe and Morgan.

Defense hope to see better secondary play, Rak and kerrigan both get a sack. Want to see 92 in there again.

sums it up for me.

Of course, the main reason to be excited is that RGIII will get (probably) more than twice the snaps he did last time. The refs robbed us of a first down and an RB fumbled away another drive. Let's see the Skins come out firing and put together 3 or 4 successful drives out of the 5-6 the starters should get.

Can't wait to see whether Baker can build on his performance last week. It makes me glad to see someone wearing #92 with his work ethic. Dude has potential to be a monster.

If you're willing to spend $15.00 to watch the game live and replay, you can watch here. I did last week and it was priceless. I'm about to watch last weeks game again since I have the house to myself without the kids for a bit. Here's my link. Enjoy:

You didn't get it for free Scott? I've had Directv for 8 years and haven't paid for NFL the ticket since.

PS - sorry to tell you that unless you're in Chicago or the DC area, the game will be blacked out on Comcast. You'll have to watch online or wait until tomorrow.

Free this year, but 2 years of service and paying for the ticket next year. Why is it blacked out?

Call and say you can't afford it and they'll give it to you for free. I do it every year in July. It's blacked out b/c NFL has broadcasting rights outside of local markets and since the NFL owns NFL Network, they want viewers on their network for advertising costs instead of the local cable sports networks.
