RGIII's media availbility...

Post by Chris Luva Luva »

Local media is a bit butt-hurt that the Skins are restricting RGIII's availability. I think he's available once a week on Mondays. In addition, they have to share that time with national media. So some talking heads on 980 were talking about how this would turn the media sour against RGIII and that this type of move creates negative articles.

IMO, I think a lot of the local media just like to stir up BS anyway. As many of them have voiced their negative opinions on RGIII being stretched thin with endorsements, it's interesting to see that opinion change when it affects them. LOL

Like I said before, I hate the fact RG3 was everywhere on TV during the offseason so I'm really glad they put a limit on his availability with the media. Let the kid use that extra time to beat the books and practice.

Good for them!

(and obviously I voted no)

I voted NO, of course.

apparently I'm not in the minority on this one. Focus on what matters, ignore the circling buzzards. there is battle brewing, and they will eat, just don't the one on the menu.

I'm sure he was protected to some extent. I'd point out that NC's media isn't anywhere as viscous as the Nation's Capital.

I think the hype was just that

there is not a doubt in my mind that he was focused on both his future as a player but also the 'business' side - that's all over

he's now doing everything he can to maximize his contribution to this franchise and I'm sure the franchise is helping him on and off the field

the more we hear and see the better - but that will be limited and that's fine with me

RGIII is our future and I still expect it to take a little time for him to become both comfortable and really effective
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

The DC media is a bit too sappy for you?
