the 26-year-old Goff could challenge as an experienced alternative to Riley or could serve as a backup at both spots.
I think it'll be the latter... He shouldn't be brought in to potentially stunt Riley's growth and I doubt he will be. This regime is about growing it's own talent. Goff will be London's direct backup incase of injury.

this is a good sign, especially for a depth player, this dude plays hard every snap that he can. I always like him when he was with the Giants, so now we have
Fletcher, Riley, Goff, Robinson, and OMG at ILB, right?

And Kehl.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

As I said... I think Coach Haslett is going to enjoy building this year's defense... I think he's got plenty of "can-do" to work with.

Good pickup here.. can rotate in for Riley and Fletch... doubt he beats Riley out for that starting spot though.

We need some decent depth at ILB anyways.

There's so much rotation now that "backup" doesn't mean what it used to mean. I think he's going to be a full part of the rotation though he may not be listed as the starter.

Some guys still play every down. Fletcher and Kerrigan both come to mind.

The point remains - depth has always been an important part of adding to the roster

AND

Quality depth along both lines and with the LBs is critical
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
