Feeling sorry for Alex Smith....?

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Feeling sorry for Alex Smith....?

Post by tribeofjudah »

He's the odd man out with Manning potentially going to SanFran.
Smith and Manning have the same "agent" company - looks like THEY did Smith wrong.

I know it's a business and it looks like the "agent" is going for the BIG BUCKS with Manning for 49ers rather than stay with Smith. This could BACKFIRE on Harbaugh and Company.

Alex is now talking with the Fins and could go there. IF SanFran doesn't land Manning and Smith walks away........

HAHAHAHAHA, Karma is a Screwball.

Report: Fins trying to sign Smith for $8M/yr According to the Denver Post, the Dolphins are currently negotiating a contract with free agent Alex Smith that would pay him $8 million annually.
The Dolphins are so desperate, after losing out on Peyton Manning and Matt Flynn, that they're now willing to significantly overpay a borderline NFL starter at near the level of franchise quarterback money. Flynn only got $6.33M annually from the Seahawks. Smith isn't as physically talented as incumbent Dolphins starter Matt Moore, and he's certainly not worth more than Flynn. At this point, it's almost as if the Fins are trying to sign a quarterback, just to sign a quarterback.

Who wrote that blurb? I'd love to know how he comes to the conclusion that the shorter, smaller, and slower Matt Moore is more "physically talented" than Smith.

However, I'm also not sure why the Dolphins are panicking at qb. Matt Moore actually played pretty well for them last season and if they drafted Tannehill, Moore could certainly continue to start until Tannehill is ready to go.
