What do you guys think will or want to happen with the Offensive Line? Because the only capable starting tackle in FA is pretty much Jared Gathier, and he is pretty much a lock for resigninig with the Bolts Because of this Marcus McNeil issue. Because I believe we will trade up to get Robert Griffin III, so that means no tackels in the 2nd and 1st round, and by then probbably there won't be a tackle that could be a starter there is also the issue about the guards and the center.
What I think is After the Chargers Cut Marcus McNeil we either get him or we draft a tackle in the 3rd and with one of our 4th picks. For guard, I really believe that We will sign either Ben Grubbs or CARL NICKS. For center I think we will definetley sign Chris Myers. or possibley get RG3's center?
I personally think this is where we need to blow about 50% of the cap space we have AFTER we have taken care of London for the rest of his career.
All of the guys you mentioned are definitely on the radar. I think Nicks is the most likely based on N.O.'s cap situation after Brees' deal gets done considering the money they have spent on the rest of the o-line.
I don't see the Texans letting go of Myers but, that would be best case scenario. he would fit right in, day 1
For the cap space I think we should keep about 15% for extra use.(at least.) Because of the Texans problems with Foster and Mario I think we can get Myers. After we Upgrade the OLine, I say get Colston,, Jackson, or Bowe!
Carl Nicks is a go. But, Will Montgomery is not a loser. If this Peyton nonsense turns out to be valid (which I don't think will happen) Jeff Saturday is on the market.
I found a good tackle. His name is Amini Silotolu. I think he would be a good pick because he is division 2 and underrated 6'3 324 pounds. For one thin, I know Mayock loves him.

We need a RT and a couple of guards.
agree about Montgomery, He and Myers both play guard as well. if Saturday comes over in a package with Peyton, just slide Monty over to guard. My concern about Saturday would be, if he still has the wheels to execute in the ZBS.

Did you want to say something?
Yes. And I did. Not sure why that confuses you--but whatever.

I think Mongomery is a great backup and a decent starter. He is a keeper.

I think you would try to attain a guard that can play center considering our lack of depth at both positions. I think you find that where you can, whether it be draft, or free agency. Whoever that is, needs to be ready to start opening day because I'm not too sure about Lichtensteiger's injury.
I think Nicks, Playing next to Brown makes Brown a better tackle. Unfortunately, Nicks does'nt play center.

however doesn't Carl Nicks plays LG? but I don't think it matters.
I would like to see Carl Nicks in a Redskins jersey next season. every year i get a man crush on 1 free agent and 1 draft pick. last year it was Cullen Jenkins and Colin Kaepernick. This year Carl Nicks and Russel Wilson. but Ill keep it on topic
Carl Nicks. Maybe give Willie Smith a look at RT if he plays like he did last year that;ll be great. I think Trent would benefit from playing next to such and elite lineman. Montgomery and Chest have really good chemistry I wouldnt split that up. Id say thats a top-10 line maybe even top-5

You got that last part right! It's actually kida crazy that we have a good shot at signing the best guard in Football.
Are you guys sure Nicks will fit in the ZBS the dude weighs 348 and is 6'3" while Grubbs is 6'3" 310 which is more along what Shanny likes. If Nicks (I haven't watched him much) is athletic enough to fit in the ZBS then cool but if he's more of a mauler we wont go after him. As for Monty after watching Rabach for those years I liked him because at least he has some muscle and is a little quicker. You didn't see Ratliff manhandling him like he did to Rabach and he held his own for the most part.
Chris Myers is, IMO the best lineman on the market. He's arguably the best center in the league, he's 30 years old, he's a former Shanny pick in Denver and he knows Kyle from his days in Houston. IMO, it's a perfect fit. I would like to see Trent Williams at LT, Kory/Monty battle for the LG spot and Myers at C.
I don't know how realistic it is to imagine upgrades at RG and RT because I'm not sure of the cap implications on Brown or Chester. Chester was a big mistake before the ink was even dry and Brown just hasn't been the same due to injuries. I think are wagon has been hitched to these guys though, so we might have to make the best of it.
