Randy Moss wants IN

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

You know the answer people would give to the question. Rather then playing dumb, why don't you give an answer as to why you don't think a locker room cancer would be an issue and ask people to address that rather then posting duh, I don't get it?

A few weak reasons from wiki ...

Traffic incident: On September 24, 2002 in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, Moss was driving and was preparing to make an illegal turn. A traffic control officer (Amy Zaccardi), noticing what he was about to do, stood in front of his 2002 Lexus car, ordering him to stop. Eyewitness accounts of the event differ at this point, but Moss did not comply with the officer's order, and she was bumped by his vehicle and fell to the ground. Moss was arrested, and a search of his vehicle revealed a joint amounting to less than a gram of marijuana in his ashtray

Playoff fully clothed mooning incident: On January 9, 2005, the Minnesota Vikings traveled to division rival Green Bay to take on the heavily favored Packers in an NFC wildcard playoff game. Moss finished the game with 4 catches for 70 yards and two touchdowns in the 31–17 win. After the second score, Moss trotted to the end zone goalpost and, facing away from the crowd, feigned pulling down his pants to moon the Green Bay fans.

... and a few important ones ...

Leaving the field during a game: During the last game of the 2004 regular season against the Washington Redskins and with two seconds remaining on the game clock, Moss walked off the field and into the locker room; critics criticized Moss for quitting on his team.

Lack of effort: During the press conference, Moss responded to questions about his dropped passes and lackluster effort in several games, saying "Maybe because I'm unhappy and I'm not too much excited about what's going on, so, my concentration and focus level tend to go down sometimes when I'm in a bad mood."

Never ran good routes and probably can't run by too many people any more. Even if he could he's a loser.

Giving Randy Moss a chance to make your roster might work with some franchises and coaches

I really do not see this franchise being in the mix for him

We will be adding a free agent WR ... he could mean that we get a shot at a WR we want
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Hopfully, it's Philly... they need the locker room help.

We have got to stay away from these washed up superstars. He misses the limelight, that's all, he's not interested in hard work and team ethic.

Far too much potential to be disruptive as well...

Too many players look at Washington as a great place to finish up your career, not too much effort needed or anything to get excited over but a great payday.

We're starting to shake that image a bit, but talk linking us to players like Manning and Moss is not helping.

I know they were truly great players, but the emphasis has to be on the word 'were'.

You're talking big money for players well past their prime and with high injury potential.

Let's go for guys like Nicks, guys that have looked excellent and are in their mid 20's, they have the hunger and the desire to win Championships and their legacy will mostly be with us and not a former team of theirs.

As long as they're not flawed in their character, like that muppet Haynesworth, then all should be well. And I'd like to think we've learnt our lessons in terms of recruiting types like him... Such a bloody waste.

I agree with you on the last one, but I wouldn't mind signing Mannig. If he is healthy. Because unlike Randy Moss, Peyton Manning is committed to his craft and doesn't take off plays like Randy Moss.

I hear you. If he was fit I'd be willing to support it more. But he isn't fit, I don't know if he'll ever be fit, or fit enough to look like his old self. And if he was 28 then maybe you could gamble so that if he didn't come back this season he'd be 100% next season. But he's 34.

If Shanny brings him in there's a strong chance we're back with Grossman due to Peyton's like of ftness at some point in the season, even if he's good to go for game one. And then all the flack goes to Shanny for taking such a risk with the injured 34 year old.

There's just too many downsides....

Here we have a man who had one of the strongest mentors in NFL history... Chris Carter... and basically told him to screw. So, Randy... which of you actually has a legacy? It a shame. He could easily have been the best ever... instead, he's just "been".

ps... Randy, please feel free to work your magic on the Philly locker room before you disappear forever.
