But overall this is one of the most random rosters in the league. 18 undrafted free agents dot the 53-man roster, including eight starters.
More than one-third of the Patriots roster was undrafted. The Patriots also have eleven more players that were taken in the fifth round or later in the draft. Less than half of the team was drafted in the first four rounds. 12 Patriots were signed “off the street” or during training camp.
I find this impressive and with Bill and Shanny being friends, I get why Mike is building up his scouting corps.

One of the reasons I have little to no respect for Shanny... his friendship with Belliscum. Another is the fact that he buys into this idea of winning by being an Above Average team rather than trying to build a GREAT team.
When you are the Patriots and you have had good management actually adding to your draft picks you can afford to add free agents and fine tune
The Patriots are very good and have been well managed for a long while - we are still trying to get there
The Redskins are a franchise that has many needs and cannot get better by losing a bunch of young VERY talented players - we especially need to use any top 10 picks we can get
we are not quite there yet and CANNOT afford not to use our high draft picks to either get more picks or to add very talented young players
basically, very simple - it will be fun when we can do that too
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
