Marty Schottenheimer to Bucs?

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Yup... good call by them, in general. IMO, much better coach than the chin. Personally, if the Redskins want to be convincing, I want them to do it against the toughest schedule in the league.

Not a done deal... they are also meeting with Childress and the Son of Bum...

Good for him, that guy gets treated a bit more harshly than other coaches who can't get over the hump. San-Diego was dumb for letting him go.

I hope that Marty gets the job - he's a good HC

all these games are difficult to win - Denver just beat a vastly superior team - it happens all the time

I'd agree that Marty will help down there - this is a good team

This Redskins team is going to be a tough game on their schedule too
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Marty is an Iron fist, velvet glove type coach. These players, while they won't admit it, need discipline - not a friend. Marty will get them in line but at the same time be a father like figure. He's a guy who truly care's about his guys.

... how about letting Brees go ...

... GM and Norv took away at least one Lombardi Trophy away from San Diego.

I beg to differ. The stupidest thing Danny ever did was to buy the Washington Redskins.

I'm not sure that parlaying the purchase of the Washington Redskins from the Cooke family at $600M .. then buying out the guys that made it possible and owning a franchise that is now valued at over $1.25 billion could be classified as stupid

bad for us, for sure ... but not stupid

It would be really stupid of him to sell ... but how great would that be

Would you embarrass yourself for $625 million? I might.

$625 Million is not enough for me, but I'd have everyone thinking I was a complete jackass with no problem.

I'd do it twice.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"
