I think Trent Williams is a world class underachiever. He is inconsistent, lazy, out of shape, commits stupid penalties. He makes me sick. We are stuck with him, I suppose, but he is a major disappointment. I would throw him in on the trade offer to move up for Luck, that is if we don't end up in position to draft him outright. Then go buy an offensive line in free agency.

If you pissed into a cup right now, you would test positive.
Support the troops, especially our snipers.

At the moment, it is both illegal and banned by the league. They are idiots, and need a good bitch slapping.

You could be right. I think he is really a RT not LT. If they drafted someone better for the left I think he would dominate. Not sure he is underachieving.

It's banned by the league, but it's not illegal.
Here's one you can get a prescription for made by Novo Nordisk. Here's another made by Pfizer. You can find a bunch others, made by Lilly, Genentech, Sandoz, etc.
Yes, HGH is indicated for children, and usage of it in adults is considered off-label (so a pharma company can't promote that use, but a doc certainly can prescribe it for that), and HGH is considered a controlled substance, but HGH is not expressly illegal like say cocaine is.

First, he suggested two substances.
Except in a few states (MD, VA, DC are not among them) weed is illegal.
LEGALLY, HGH products are only available by prescription. There is a reason that the mechanisms of providing these products are underground... it's unlikely that either had a prescription... and to my knowledge, there is not yet a league and union accepted test for HGH.
Anabolic steroids are also "technically" legal... as long as they are prescribed by a licensed provider, AND administered according to instructions provided by that provider. Otherwise, they are illegal, as well as being banned by the league.
I doubt that they had obtained any of the above products legally.
It's not necessary to offer any further excuses for them... they are, in fact, idiots, REGARDLESS the circumstances around how they obtained any of the above substances. I hope the league nails them hard.

It's not HGH, as a) the NFL doesn't currently test for it; b) it would violate the policy on PEDs, not the substance abuse policy.
But yeah, total idiots. Only upside here is re: Davis. First violation of the substance abuse policy is probation, and second is four games. Officially these things are supposed to be kept confidential, particularly the first strike. So there's some potential that this helps in contract negotiations by depressing his market value.
Unless of course it's not his first strike, in which case... ugh.

I gather the 'details' are not clear yet
we do not need ANY players that make stupid choices that can potentially hurt the team in ANY way

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Look at what we've been reduced to. The two best offensive players on the team get slapped with substance violations and we're all like "Oh man, I hope it's just weed and not something more serious!"
It's marijuana they test positive for then I'd still be angry about it. Regardless of what you think its harmful effects are, or if it should be legal, it shows a severe lack of maturity. These aren't 60 year old hippies battling glaucoma they're professional athletes.
If Davis or Williams were testing positive for pot they need to get read the riot act and benched for the rest of the season. Grow the hell up.

Good luck fielding an NFL roster.
Point taken, but I don't think you shouldn't strive for the ideal. Yeah, you're gonna have some immature jocks in the NFL but you need to avoid signing idiots and try to attract veteran leadership to keep the rest in line.
