Predictions for Sunday- non Troll version

Post by HarleyHog »

So, what do FANS anticipate from the opener? I mean fans who actually LIKE the Redskins, as opposed to those who claim they will secretly root against us for out own good, and then do their secret rooting at full volume. I sure hope Hightower sets the world on fire, although I hardly expect the Troll to keep it's word and GO AWAY!

I'm with you except they are overtly rooting against us while claiming to be fans, not secretly.

We win 23-20.

We'll win as long as the Rex Cannon can limit his mistakes.

I'm worried about a few things tho...

- Laron Landry trying to come back too early. However, I think he won't play. Mike won't let him if he doesn't fully practice this week. #shrug

- Blitzing. Our blitzes are still very suspect. Although they're getting better, we'll overload and somehow have all our people get picked up still. Thankfully, we don't need blitz to get pressure anymore. Hopefully when we do, it'll be effective.

- Eli/WR's. Eli makes quick decisions (albeit not always smart) and gets passese to his WR's quickly. I'm curious to see how our secondary holds up.

- Redskin Defense. Preseason is one thing, will they still look impressive when offenses are truly gameplaning for them?

- Offensive playcalling. Are we still gonna roll with midgets in the redzone? Will Hankerson/Niles get some burn in the endzone? Will they play the ball correctly? Will we throw a fade...?

- Offensive line. They looked bad against the bucks 2ndteamers? Did they kinda half-ass it because it was the last preseason game? Can they hold their own in goalline stand?

we win - 20-17 :D

a close game that could go either way to the very end

PLUS - the pukes & eagles lose
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

While I feel strongly the Skins are the better team, I'm sure the league would love a Giants victory on the tenth anniversary of 9/11, so I'm anticipating a bunch of one-sided calls going against us.

Still, we pull out the W on the back of a dominant running game.

Giants have won 7 in a row and 9 of 10 versus the Redskins and you guys are all not only picking the Redskins to win but saying they will win by 2 scores. Do you all honestly think the Redskins will score over that many points? Most of you have us scoring over 20 points in this game. Why is no one on this board realistic? Also for the poster that said the Redskins WR's were equal to the Giants you obviously are biased and unable to look at things objectively. Also the Giants are starting 2 new o-lineman Bass at center and William Beatty there 2nd round pick. That is not an entirely new line. The Skins are starting one new o-lineman in crappy Chester and moved Montgomery to center.

RR56 - you do not really get it, do you? you've been a member of this site for over 5 years
you have seen the posts and analysis from FANS and TROLLS

"all of you guys" will not "predict the Skins to win every game this year"

REAL Washington Redskins' fans do not "predict" that the Skins will win all 16 games - we would love it, but that is highly unlikely

BEFORE the first game, we do NOT look at the season and HOPE that we have a bad season

then again - we are REAL fans of the Washington Redskins

I predict the Skins win. I predict that the Redskins gain 140 yards rushing on the ground. They will have at least two rushing touchdowns and a passing touchdown and Gano will make two field goals. So they will score 27 points.

Fellas, fellas, fellas....

Let's not feed the troll. Obviously we were all wise enough to ignore his thread... So let's not allow him to turn this thread into what he wanted the other thread to be.

Don't fall for the okey-doke.

Trolls can't read... and even if they could, are of the belief that guidelines don't apply to them (which is what makes them trolls, to begin with)

I wish we had more height at WR... That worries me going into this game. Sure we have Niles and Hank but they're so low on the depth chart. Makes me hope that they have packages specifically tailored for them....

Good news is the gnats best DB in Thomas is out for the year, that should help free up our fast WRs--> Moss/Armstrong

Fast doesn't help in the redzone. This offense still has a knack for stalling down there at times.... We need some jump balls, some fade routes....some height.

A close game but I think we probably lose. The main reason being that Landry might not play, and even if he does, him and Otogwe will be playing together for the first time in a game. The Giants have a good passing game and I think we'll have some breakdowns in the secondary as these guys get used to playing with each other. The Giants have some secondary issues of their own, but I think they have the more reliable passing attack, which I think will be the difference. Close game either way that doesn't get decided until the fourth quarter.

This is going to be a pick'em game. It's 100% going to depend on how Rex and the Oline plays. I think the defensive will keep us in the game. I think the G's will get about 100 yds rushing w/ Jacobs leading the way. I also think the RBs will lead the team in rushing because our corners play them well but Manning will be checking down a lot.

If the line can open some decent holes for the RB's, their backup LB'rs and Dbacks don't stand a chance. But got to fire off the ball. I would keep the ball on the ground as much as possible. Keep the G's off the field and the clock on our side. Limit turnovers of course and score in the redzone PLEASE!!!

i mentioned their passing game in my post but truly it comes down to us...

Eli makes mistakes, a lot of them. His stats are TOP5 in the league....until u look at how many interceptions he'll throw. Atogwe, Hall and Wilson have to get a pick or two and the TEAM has to get TOUCHDOWNS from those mistakes. If we do that, we will win.
