Redskins sign K Clint Stitser

Post by andyjens89 »

Stitser appeared in five games for the Cincinnati Bengals as a rookie out of Fresno State last season, and made seven of eight field goal attempts and eight of 10 extra point attempts. The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder averaged 58.7 yards per kickoff.

Gano's wife is having a baby, and he might miss the game Friday. Somebody has to kick!

He's NOT going to be kicking here

Gano needs to be better - that's for sure

this guy is looking elsewhere next week
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

There are kickers and there are guys looking to make a buck and think that kicking is easy

Gano just needs to work harder to make himself better - this guy can kick

He needs to make it really, really hard for Mike to remember he was not VERY good last season

Gano can kick - that's not the problem. It consistency and performing under pressure where he needs to improve. That's largely mental.

I agree rick - but in a nutshell, that's part of the job

most anyone can kick an extra point - having the focus to be able to execute the mechanics EACH & EVERY KICK is the key

we all can excuse the missed 30 yard (or less) FG because of a bad snap or a bad hold BUT not because the kicker did not kick it the same way as he always does

Gano needs to make Mike confident that he will make EVERY kick inside the 30 - or he's gone
