1nik says so. That's good enough for me. Good move.RedskinsRule56 wrote:There is no proof anywhere that we signed Shayne Graham.
The Redskins are reportedly "closing in" on a deal with free agent K Shayne Graham.
Graham will be competition for incumbent Graham Gano, who hit an ugly 68.6 percent of his field goals last season. Graham is still only 34 and has made 86.0 percent of his chances since breaking into the league in 2001. Aug. 1 - 9:25 am et

Shayne Graham - K - Redskins Redskins agreed to terms with K Shayne Graham.
Graham will compete with holdover Graham Gano. On field-goal accuracy alone, it's a slam-dunk in Graham's favor. Gano does boast one of the strongest legs in the league, but that takes on less importance under the new kickoff rules. Related: Graham Gano
There's no proof anywhere he can kickRedskinsRule56 wrote:There is no proof anywhere that we signed Shayne Graham.
He's washed up and he sucks.jr_uscg wrote:What happened to Shayne Graham? Why was he so bad Friday night? I thought he would beat out Gano and win the job. Hopefully Gano can keep hitting them.
Hard to disagree with this move after his awful Friday night. My only concern about this though is that Gano wasn't much better last season. The Washington Redskins have cut auditioning veteran kicker Shayne Graham two days after he missed a pair of field goals in Friday night’s preseason opener, a source confirmed.
Graham was trying to unseat Graham Gano, who struggled last season but made all three field goal attempts on Friday.
Graham, the third most accurate kicker in league history, had struggled in practice last week and couldn’t redeem himself Friday. It wasn’t immediately clear if the Redskins would bring in another kicker to compete with Gano.

Hopefully they'll bring in another kicker to continue to push Gano.
Gano didn't instill confidence in me when he hit the upright on the 45 yarder. I am glad he made all three, man, is he cutting it close.riggofan wrote:http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/football-insider/post/redskins-cut-kicker-shayne-graham/2011/08/14/gIQAFD9CFJ_blog.html
