Good to hear but I'm kind of hopin Barnes will beat him out for the nickel cuz I really like the kid and the effort he put in last year at free safety. Still Buchy is a nice vet signing that will help keep the locker room together......I'm really likin these pick ups and resigning this off season

Clearly we had no intention of signing Rogers, it would make no sense at this point. The fat lady is singing...tribeofjudah wrote:I do think Barnes will be stickin around. It's Carloser that's on the verge of bouncing....IMO

I'm glad to hear he is coming back so we are at least standing pat at CB and not getting worse. I was starting to think we were going to be worse.
To me, Wilson is at best a push for stone hands, so now with Buccanon back in the fold we should have an improved secondary when you add in Otagwe (or however he spells his name).

I agree. I'm much more comfortable now with Hall, Wilson, Bucky & Barnes as our CB's. The others will be competing for the last spot.tribeofjudah wrote:I do think Barnes will be stickin around. It's Carloser that's on the verge of bouncing....IMO

Ok, now I know. He also played:RedskinsRule56 wrote:Josh Wilson he is referring to and he is a very good corner. He was far and away the best Ravens corner down the stretch last year.
Seattle Seahawks (2007-2010)
Baltimore Ravens (2010)
Washington Redskins (2011-present)
I wonder if HE played well against us during our Seattle playoff game - we lost. Maybe NOT cuz he was a rook then.

He was the guy that Santana Moss took a swing at vs Seattle. Moss got kicked out if I remember.tribeofjudah wrote:Ok, now I know. He also played:RedskinsRule56 wrote:Josh Wilson he is referring to and he is a very good corner. He was far and away the best Ravens corner down the stretch last year.

Redskins coach Mike Shanahan informed reporters Tuesday that Buchanon will be suspended for the first four games of the season by the NFL.
For now, the Redskins aren’t saying what the suspension is for. We should find out soon enough.

http://www.twitter.com#Redskins have re-signed CBPhillip Buchanon, but bad news is he has been suspended by #NFL for first 4 games of regular season.

http://www.rotoworld.comNFL suspended Redskins CB Phillip Buchanon four games for an undisclosed violation of league policy.
The suspension is league-issued, but there's no word yet on the reason. We suspect it pertains to the league's performance-enhancing drug policy. The Redskins will have to look elsewhere for help in the nickel during the first month.

Apparently they knew about it and signed him anyway, may be that's why Kelvin Hayden is coming in for a visit.

If they knew about it before signing it, how can that be a setback? You signed a suspended player. DUH"That's a little setback for us," Shanahan said.

Yup, in this same Wash. Times article you posted it said Shanahan did know about it prior. He said its a little setback.spudstr04 wrote:http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/red ... games-nfl/
Did the redskins know this before signing him???
I'm not gonna bash Buchanon because it was probably marijuana but considering we have the Giants, Cardinals, Cows, Rams.. I think its a more than a little setback IMO.
