Panthers have interest in Carlos Rogers

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Y'all would hate me but I really wouldn't mind Carlos back. I know he's frustrating but he's a good player who's young.

It would be a little sad to see him go — our secondary would be worse off for it — but Rogers thinks he's worth more than the Skins will to pay him. And some team out there will be desperate enough, I fear . . .

If I was Carlos, I would look to sign in Detroit or even Houston if the money is right. I think that the Lions have a hell of a team coming and Houston is only a decent defense away from winning the whole thing. Their offense has been unstoppable.

That's crazy. I feel like Hall's been in the league for years. Can honestly say I didn't do ANY research.

Hall has been in the league longer (2004 vs 2006) but, as stated above, 2+ yrs younger.

Cromartie stayed with the Jets. He got $32 million over four years.

I think the football stuff is only part of it. The team appears to be focused on high character guys as well, and some of the stuff that's out there about Rogers' immaturity and off-field behavior probably doesn't fit with what the team's plan is.

Didn't help he burned every bridge he encountered on the way out thinking there would be a big payday waiting for him. Said he wanted to play for ttiT. Somebody should have told him they were broke.

Give me a break. 29 or 30 is hardly old. Nnamdi Asomugha is 30 years old.

I think Rogers was an ok CB last year, just wish he would hang on to more balls. My problem with Rogers is that he hasn't been a great team guy. Never seemed like he was happy to be here.

I hope we keep Rogers but that's no big deal

I'm glad we didn't bring in a 30 year old CB even if he's the best ever

I'm just looking for this FO to rebuild this franchise and we did not need to pay a 30 year old CB that amount of money
Totally agree that he deserved it, but not here, not anymore

we are putting together a good young unit here and we need to have money to reward all these guys in the near future

Asomugha will be a part of a franchise that made the same mistakes we used to make here :D
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Agreed. I'm sick of his prima donna attitude. I'd like him as a nickle, not a starter. With nickle money, not starter money.

Carlos is a good solid player at the CB position. Who cres what his attidude is as long as he performs to the standard set by Haslett. Should he catch more INTs?....sure...then he would be comanding the $40-$50 million deal.

If we can keep him for the right price I'm all for it. If he can find a better deal elsewhere...I am a fan of capitalim. More power to him.

If the defensive coaches thought he was worth what he wants, we would not be having this discussion

If he can get a better deal, he should leave

hopefully he understands he needs to stay and show that he's worth more

this guy can be a good CB but he thinks he's a lot better than he really is

If he seriously wanted to play for ttiT then good riddens already. I want him out of DC pronto! THere is no excuse for a Skin to want to play with that other team! None at all. I dont know how many games he could have won us if he were to just catch the ball.

Here's the quote

“My agent’s real confident that I’m going to get a good contract. After [Oakland’s Nnamdi Asomugha), who’s going to get real big money, I’m the next corner out there. You hear that the Cowboys and Eagles are looking for a corner. It would be fun to play against the Redskins twice a year.”

But with third corner Phillip Buchanon also unsigned, it won’t be fun for the Redskins this fall if they lose them and fail to win the high-stakes battle for Asomugha.
