I can't help but wonder the implications of this: bin Laudin's compound was within 100 yards of the main gate of the Kakul Military Academy, a major educational facility of the Pakistan Army. There is no freaking way that they did not know about this. None. Call it circumstantial evidence, if you want, but you can't tell me that they don't know whom that high security mansion had been built for, and whom it was hiding.

Well obviously I see I wasn't the only one thinking this.
Will our government "grill" the Pakistani's about this I wonder?
Was kinda sorry he had to die, was really hoping we could've kept him alive.. or possibly he is alive and we have him? Is that a far fetched theory or you folks think that's possible too?

Reuters) - U.S. forces finally found al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden not in a mountain cave on Afghanistan's border, but with his youngest wife in a million-dollar compound in a summer resort just over an hour's drive from Pakistan's capital, U.S. officials said.
A small U.S. team conducted a night-time helicopter raid on the compound early on Monday. After 40 minutes of fighting, bin Laden and an adult son, one unidentified woman and two men were dead, the officials said.

Yea that's what they told us bro.. and I know some movies are fictional but "could" there be that possibility he is still alive and they have him somewhere? I mean that is possible right?

No, I'm thinking that when a leader dies in these types of organizations, that there is a "I'm worthy to fill his shoes" mentality to prove to the world and the rest of Al-Queda by his successor. And how is the best way to do this? Redouble attacks at Al-Queda's enemies. It's already the busy season for our boys and girls deployed; and this can make it that much more dangerous for them out there. Don't get me wrong, I'm as happy as the next red-blooded American, but it's the repercussions I worry about.

LPJ, yes anything is possible. Governments are known to use propaganda and "lies".........we shall see as this unfolds.

On a positive note about this (if there can be one), there will be a sense of immediate urgency, perhaps even desperation on the part of potential murderers. Such motivation can cause poor planning, and the taking of chances and shortcuts... each such "shortcut" is an opportunity for us to catch them in the act.
Regarding the concern for repercussions... sometimes, doing the right thing has risks of it's own... this is one of those times. Those troops will redouble, look in the shadows a little more carefully... and drive on.

Usama, about 20 hours ago... sometime after several grams of lead entered his brain:
"What do you mean 72 pissed off VIRGINIANS????
Yes, I am sure he is actually dead. I am sure that he was not intended to be taken alive. There was to be no opportunity for him to get a "redo". Hopefully, it hurt... a lot. Hopefully, he was terrified. Hopefully...
How good do you think the SEAL who pulled that trigger feels right now?

Blaze of glory? Sure... All of his thugs, and himself dead. No US casualties... sounds like they were all shooting with their eyes closed, probably on full auto... shooting up the ceiling. A woman was a casualty because one of them was hiding behind her...
Blaze of glory...
They are dead. Bang. Dead. Usama is now fish food. Dead. No glory... just dead. Yay!
I'm just glad that Obama had the stones to say dead was good enough.

Could it all be a "made Up" story.
Example: they caught him months ago. Was locked up in this compound....jail cell. Made it look like a Spec. Ops move. Killed him and his cronies.
Now....Obama can rest assured that HE has strengthened his 2nd bid for the White House.
How about that for a story....??? Nice move Mr. President.
Eitherway, the maggot is dead.....good riddance.

reports are that the military wanted to put 2 bombs on his head shortly after December, when they confirmed where he was - Obama wanted the certainty of his body ID, alive or dead - they were ordered to wait
THEN they took him out without any loss of life - great job by the US Navy seals
I do hope there is some video
I doubt we'll see any video of the US Navy 'burial' - I'll bet that's X rated stuff - got to love the imaginary scene in that helicopter over the water with Osama's body in a body bag
great day for the USA

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Well, if he's a lunatic who wants to die then it doesn't matter and if he's not killing Osama's (edit: I meant Osama) the best thing we can do. Qadaffi was subdued for decades after Reagan tried to shoot a missile up his parking garage. Personally I think we should publicly bury Osama wrapped in a pig' skin.
Anyway, I prefer to have them being the ones to worry about repercussions, mission accomplished...
