Jeff Fischer and Titans break up :(

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Man, I wish that this had happened last offseason. I would love to have Fisher as our coach.

Wow! Maybe I just don't follow football closely enough anymore, but I didn't see that one coming at all.

I think it has a lot to do with their qb issues. I don't think that Fisher wanted Young, while the owner wanted to draft him and has pushed for him to be the starter.

I agree more than I can even equate into percentages. This would've been a great hire, as opposed to the glam hire that we got.
You'll always be remembered Sean. R.I.P.

I thought he was a good coach, helluva player's coach, but I have to say, he has not seemed to be able to turn things around over there.

I think that Jeff Fisher is a great HC but there is no way that he would have been able to handle the Snyder & Cerrato deal that we had - let's not forget that the only way that Snyder could get Shanahan to be the HC was the he had to both bring in Bruce Allen AND agree to fire Cerrato

I like Fisher but we're in a better place now mainly because we don't have dumb and dumber running things here - not saying Shanahan's staying for much longer.. BUT, we will not be going back to Snyder running things here

besides, Fisher was NOT available - so, it's really a mute point

I'm sure Jeff Fisher will take a year off and then, who knows
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

So with Fisher gone does Vince Young stay with the Titans? This could have an impact on the Draft.

How could anyone choosing between Fischer and Young go for Young?!

I agree FFA - I think that the Titans are going ahead without Young - he's not really shown to be a reliable or very good a starting QB
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance

I think this officially moves Snyder out of any contention for stupidest owner in the league.

Coworker is from Tenn.. she said the whole city was fedup with Fischer as a whole. Also, they are getting rid of Vince too, its not like they chose between one or the other. They will try to trade him but he has like $4Mil left with him that nobody will want so he'll become a free agent and they won't resign him.
