Davis Involved in Incident At Nightclub

Fred Davis has been accused of assaulting a woman at a DC nightclub.

Just talked to Fred Davis. He says he was at a night club last night and that he was trying to walk past a woman who he accidentally bumped. Davis said she threw her drink in his face, and that he retaliated by doing the same back to her. Davis says claim that he thee a bottle at her is completely false. He says video from the club will prove this and he thought that police had already seen the video. The incident Occurred a little after 1 am last night according to Davis.

Just talked to Fred Davis as well. He said he was never arrested but did throw an Orange Juice on a girl after she threw a drink on him.

#Redskins TE Fred Davis also told me that there is tape from the club and he said he never touched the women. No big deal he said.

#Redskins TE Fred Davis didn't sound worried about the accusation... saying he never threw a bottle and he called the police himself.

These guys gotta learn how to handle women better. Women have the upper hand in these environments, regardless of who was right.

Pro athletes are targets of skanks looking for a quick buck. They should probably stay out of clubs altogether.

It's the sad side of the endless false accusations. My view is to react like you. Unfortunately some women are genuinely assaulted and they pay the price for all the skanks and their amoral lawyers (sorry for the redundancy on that one). It's like charges of racism and a lot of other situations, it exists. And when you're a genuine victim now you have to overcome that doubt. And I have it because I think like you it became an issue after someone told her he's an NFL player

Whatever dude. I think he handled it right. Some women have always played that 'not right to hit a woman' card and always exploit that. I commend Fred David for how he handled it.

I do not think that it sounds like Davis over reacted or behaved aggressively, from all reports, but I would not say that it's good thing either

there are a lot of situations that these athletes are finding themselves in that they need to handle better - not saying they cannot go to night clubs and such but if you are going to place yourself at a place like this then you need to be very careful - there are a lot of V bad people that would just love the "opportunity" for a "settlement"

I disagree. If it had been a heat of the moment reaction, that's one thing. But he walked away from her and then came back and threw his drink at her. I'm sorry, but that's just pure stupidity on his part. Nothing good comes from that. He walks away and it's a non-story. Instead, this has been talked about on sports radio for two days, was all over Twitter and on TMZ, in the papers, and was one of the lead stories on the 11pm news here in DC last night. Just because some woman is acting like an idiot doesn't mean that Davis should stoop to her level and act like a moron. Nothing wrong with showing some class.

Wow, what a critical fact. You just made me switch sides. I agree, that's the key. Going away, steaming, coming back and doing it is stupid and completely different then her doing it and his comes right back.

I didn't know it wasn't heat of the moment. I had assumed (yup, it was me this time) that it was an instantaneous reaction. Stupid move, but still non-story.
