You gotta love that Bruce Boudreau. I hope they pay him well now compared to his playing days. How much does a HC in the NHL make?? Anyone??

During an interview with Jill Sorenson, he flashed back to his playing days and outdoor Hockey. I think he said he was in the minors for 30 years before coaching in the NHL.

One memory is of his signing bonus of $15k which was $8.5K after taxes. Here's the part I like ..... He gave the money to his "mum" and dad (he says mum with that Canadian accent). They fixed the roof of the house and put tar on the driveway. What a gesture of love and respect for his parents.....that's what I like. He had $1000 left over after. That's a man with a BIG heart and much love for his parents.

He admits to struggling financially as a player....

Players today make mucho money that they are able to buy all their teammates an Ipad for Christmas. Bruce chuckled cuz he's never had that kind of money and has never thought in those terms......
