Cowboys Demonstrate How to Tank Games

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Cowboys Demonstrate How to Tank Games

Post by Red_One43 »

(Note Before Reading: This is a "tongue in cheek" post poking fun at the NFL Network guys accusations of Shanahan tanking games)

Shanahan has been accused of tanking games but after last week's near come, the Skins showed that was a crock of bull or that they do not know how to tank a game.

Last Night Dallas gave a course in Tanking 101

Rule 1 - Spot a horrible team 14 points - Two pick sixes to start the game fits this rule fine

Rule 2 - Don't cover any receivers - that Cardinal receiver was so wide open, it couldn't get any more obvious than than that.

Rule 3 - Fake an injury for your QB - I couldn't see how Kitna got hurt on the play. He comes back in and throws a TD and then realizes that he isn't really hurt, so he prentds it gets worse and leaves the game for good

Rule 3 - If your third string QB plays well enough to accidently take the lead, miss the extra point - I know Ferris is inconsistent on fG's but has he missed any PATs all year?

Rule 4 - Let a Rookie 3rd string QB on one of the worst teams in the league drive down the field in less than two minutes to kick the winning FG - nothing needs to be said here

The NFL Network gang's got their nerve to accuse the Skins of tanking. When we beat the Jags today and Dallas loses to the Eagles next week, Dallas will at least one up us on draft positions - Squirrelly cowboys! Last place Cards in a last place division 27 - Cowboys 26. I love it when Dallas loses, but give me a break!

Jason Garrett is coaching for his job next season. He isn't tanking games.

Just a little "tongue in check" post. No, I don't really believe they tanked the game. They are coming off a big rivalry win (may not mean much for some fans but with all the concussions in that game, you can bet it meant something to the players). The two pick sixes, if you got a chance to see them, were flukes - not Kitna's fault. Kitna probably is injured. Ferris sucks as a kicker and Dallas' secondary has been playing half heartedly all year even with Garrett as coach - some of those guys will not be on the team.

Having a little fun with the Shanahan accusations and the fact that Dallas lost to a lousy team and now they will get a better draft choice. I am serious about beating the Jags today.
