There are three more days until "Towers of Midnight" (book 13 of the Wheel of Time series) comes out.
I want to know if there are any other fans of Rand, Mat, and Perrin on this board?
If anyone likes fantasy books and you haven't read the WoT series your missing out on one of the best works in the genera!
Any Wheel of Time fans?

I love fantasy books bro.. my favorite authors are Hicks and Weisman. I haven't read any of the Wheels of Times book though because I have like 10 books on my shelf that's still waiting for attention.

What are your favorite books / series by Hicks and/or Weisman?
I have read all of the WOT books two or three times each! I think they should be a must read for any fantasy reader. but I deffinately can understand about having a long list of things to read. Heck, between work, the kids, the honey dew list, and following the Skins I barely have time for any reading.
But I make rooom for this series. I read extremely slow and I will have "Towers of Midnight" (846 pgs) done before the next Skins game.

.. aaaaaaaaaaaand of course I got the names all mixed up, why you didn't tell me!!!???!!!
Weis and Hickman
My favorite is the Dragonlance Chronicles Trilogy. I loved it because they had multiple main characters as opposed to some books that only give you like one or two for the most. I remember I use to read these books every day on my lunch break back in 2001 or 2002 and I was mad I finished them so quickly..
My favorite fantasy books of all time are the Chronicles of Narnia. I read all of them when I was in 6th grade and every couple of years since I've been reading them periodically just because. I personally love them because of the God/Devil (or good/evil) analogies that they come up with.

I'll have to read them. I've enjoyed the movies so the books must be good.
If you like good vs evil fantasy books then you really would love the WoT series. You have good vs evil. Monsters, people that can wield the One Power (read magic), a group of religious fanatics that are almost as bad as some of the villains, some good people that do REALLY bad things, but best of all you have a group of young characters that evolve over the series into very important and POWERFUL roles.
One word of Caution Robert Jordan is very descriptive and paints and great visual picture, but he can get wordy at times.
However, there are events that seemed to be filler 12 books ago and 3 million words are now having BIG impacts! I have never read a series so intricate and yet still very entertaining.
I finished ToM Sunday and it was fantastic. I really hate the fact that the next book won't be out until March of 2012! Of course I will read books 9 thru 13 again before the last one comes out.
