Dockery demoted

Post by Jeff Rhodes »

According to the redskins.com article, Kenyatta Jones was starting today instead of Derrick Dockery.

I consider that good news -- but not because I don't think Dockery's a good player. In fact, I thought he was playing pretty well by the end of last season. But if Jones is better, it just means the OL is that even stronger -- and deeper -- than originally thought.

Don't forget Brandon Winey too - I don't imagine that big guy would have a hard time going from tackle to guard...

We have a new set of Hogs my friends... just wait and see :)

I can't freakin stand this long an offseason

Thankfully we the news and camps should start picking up. The draft is but a minute away.

Winey stepped in rather nicely at tackle last season. I hope the depth is needed due to injury, but's nice to have it.

I hope Dockery's improvement continues, but he was painful to watch last season. I'd get mad, but overall, I felt sorry for him. He couldn't get anything right. I hope he got all of that out of his system, because Bugel will make him cry if plays like that this season. All the false starts, knocking the ball out of Ramsey's hand near the goal line, missed blocks...wow. I really can't imagine what he felt like last season. But he kept trying. I'd love to see him become a success story.

I think Dockery will be good with time and a better offensive system in place - let's face it, Spurrier didn't put the ol in the best position to succeed last year.

These guys are gonna love run blocking for portis.

Madness!!!

Dockery was playing great by the end of last year.

I don't think anyone supplants the condominium.

And with Buge's truly 'coaching him up', this guy was our best draft pick of 2003 by far. Scooter had him as the #2 guard coming out of college and despite struggling early last year when he got thrown into the fire, he came on brilliantly IMO.

Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

BossHog gave me fits and flashbacks by invoking a 'Spurrierism' when he wrote:And with Buge's truly 'coaching him up'...
