There was so much more to it then that. Is this seriously all you remember?

No, but I didn't think it was necessary to go into all the details of why he was in Gibbs' dog house. The point was that his talent level hasn't changed.

Maybe not, but his work ethic, commitment to his team and not quitting on plays must have because that wouldn't have worked anywhere.

I'm sure his ego is such that if he's not the #1 receiver on a team, he's not happy, and so doesn't give the effort.

Let's be real, he's playing on a 2-3 Broncos team that has had to rely on the passing game because their running game is suspect.
More chances=better numbers.
Good to hear Mr. Lloyd is doing well.
Can we please move on now?

Back and better than ever!

I don't know if you remember, but he had opportunities to make catches here, and he squandered them routinely. I never saw anything that suggested any speed, toughness, or receiving skills the entire time he was here.

He was more focused on his burgeoning rap career back then...and doing interviews with THN!!

So he wasn't a right fit, didn't have his head right, whatever the excuse is...
He's doing well now. And how would you explain a WR leading the league if the team relied on the run in their offensive scheme. Let's just give the man his props. He's doing well. Damn.

His time has come.
You can only hope he learned something from his flame out here. We let someone go from one of my businesses who was a good worker but was rude to customers. We'd worked with her on it for several weeks and she seemed to be improving, but then she had a bad day and was so rude to one customer that another customer wrote to us through our website they were embarrassed to see it. I suspended her for a week without pay and told her if she understands the issue and wants to come back then we'll give her one more chance.
She came back at the end of the week, but rather then just saying she understands the importance of customer service, she complained she wasn't getting enough hours and that sort of thing. I told her good luck, but we can't put her back on the schedule and those issues aren't different, they are all related to the core issue of serving customers. Without that, nothing else she does matters and we can't have people we can't trust alone and that's why her hours are limited. Same issue.
I realize our not bringing her back won't get that message through, but I really hope for her sake she eventually gets that when enough more people tell her that. If I let her deflect the consequences of the core issue were actually separate issues it would have been less likely she will get in the future that businesses are there to serve customers whatever field they are in.
Anyway, Brandon reminds me of that. There is no way on earth we should have kept him here because he had major behavioral issues. But if we helped him get that then good for him as a person, it's bigger then football.

I think Gibbs was a pretty competent coach.

Love Gibbs the human being but Gibbs 2.0 was outdated for todays NFL. I think because he had been out for so long that he relied to heavily on Vinny and Dan (the sources of the problem) and that hurt him.

He was outdated, relied on Humpty and Dumpty and took a Spurrier team to the playoffs 2/4 years. The man is a God...

While Brandon is a hot topic, feel free to listen to THN's installments of "The B. Lloyd Show" from 2006.

Not doubting that the man was awesome, he was and is. But he wasn't perfect. I think the Lloyd thing was blown out of proportion but we'll never truly know.

I'm glad for Brandon Lloyd but his success is more due to others than himself
Most of the guys playing the skill positions in the NFL that have success, are incredibly talented - the coaches job is to try and find a way that the other players involved can help maximise that talent - a truly talented NFL player is only given the opportunity to showcase what he can do if the other players around him (and the coaches) make it possible
this is a team game and we should know better than most fans that just bringing in talented players OR one of the best coaches in recent history does not mean that the TEAM will be successful
I'm very glad for Brandon Lloyd but his success is more due to being surrounded by other players and coaches who find a way to orchestrate a system to maximise the chance for success

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Yeah, I agree that it's about the players around him. But not the way you do. It's mostly because the Broncos have no running game, and he is their only receiver with much to offer as well. This means he gets the most looks on game-day. Not saying that he hasn't made the most of the opportunity, though.
