Mike Vick is still pretty Awesome.....

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Mike Vick is still pretty Awesome.....

Post by tribeofjudah »

As a player, Vick is still a stud. No many RBs can do what this QB does with his legs. And his arm was zipping it all over the place.

He had some learning under McNabb. Now, Philthy has to seriously think of starting Vick over Colb.

They simply are a better team with Vick.....but the Skins will tame Vick if he plays vs. us.

There is no denying the talent of Vick.

He still is a ton of fun to watch isn't he? After seeing that Sunday now I know why I liked watching him so much when he was in Atlanta.

I signed him to my fantasy team just for week #2. Tono Romo v. Bears or Vick v. Lions. I'm going with Vick this week.

I have real concerns now about the Eagles. I honestly thought they would be too stubborn to play Vick once Kolb was healthy. With Kolb they were a 5-11 team going no where and I was really looking forward to watching them fall apart this season. With Vick playing well I think they are the favorite for the division especially since Dallas will be 0-3 by Monday. I will always hate Dallas more than the Eagles but with each year that passes with me living here in Philly that hatred gets closer. The smugness of Eagle fans drives me crazy and now I think they may have caught lightning in a bottle with Vick and will dumb luck their way back to the playoffs.

Be interesting to see if Vick can continue to play like he did last Sunday - he actually looked better than when he was with the Falcons

He looks very good and I'm looking to see how well he does this week
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Vick still can do it, but there will be trouble brewing for sure. Kolb wants to be a starter and won't be happy sitting behind Vick.

The Eagles are in the position of starting a guy they think gives them the best chance at success while at the same time they have Kolb who Reid is sure can do the job and has to be there as the back up

Kolb is locked into place for now - Vick NOW has the opportunity AND is only locked up for this year

funny how that works, isn't it

I'm not drinking the Vick kool-aide

He's a great runner, but an average QB who simply needs to be contained. Keep him inside the seams and he's not a great threat to harm you, and no where near the QB that McNabb is.

So any way you slice it, the Eagles screwed up trading McNabb, and even if Vick is an upgrade to Kolb, he's a net net downgrade from last year.

He is a headache for D coordinators, but you're right he doesn't have a complete game and isn't a threat to make anyone actually good.

If contained within the pocket, his completion percentage drops below 50%... I think the Redskins are capable of game planning this...

Containment will be a key here - we all are aware of how bad our defense has played to date and this week involves a very different set of problem solving and game planning for Haslett & his defensive scheme

It won't be enough to just come up with how to put players in position to play better than we have seen - they have to be able to make a lot of adjustments better too - this is a really big test for Hazlett because his defense has not looked good at all - it has looked terrible

Vick is a very different QB for any DC to prepare his players for and hopefully Haslett and our D have a great game - we need it, he needs it and the team needs it

I might not like Vick the man (I don't) but I think Vick the QB is playing the best he has played - he has matured a lot and is a much better QB than he was

Vick was on an Awesome "comeback" to the league UNTIL he met the Skins D.

He got crushed on that play....ouch

After that FIERCE ( ) hit...the Eagles' season, in my opinion, went to the dogs!
Back and better than ever!
