DE Kenechi Udeze's Pro Day Results

Post by Redskins4Life »

Udeze's named has been thrown around as a possible draft choice if the Skins trade down but I have to say I'm kinda disappointed even though his workout numbers were decent....

Kenechi Udeze DE Udeze (6-2 7/8, 273) ran his 40s in 4.77 and 4.81. He had a 39-inch vertical jump, 10-foot-5 long jump and did 25 strength reps. Udeze met with the Jaguars prior to his workout and is scheduled to meet with the Texans on March 26.

This was on NFL.com for those of you who want to see the actual story.

I'm not going to go by their workouts. Anquan Boldin dropped to the 2nd because of his workout and was robbed of ROTY when Domanick Davis got it.

I will judge by what they do on the field.

I know how individual workouts can be misleading, but I'm just curious how Udeze's workout compared to Will Smith, Harris, and the other upper echelon d-lineman.

Will Smith ran a 4.61 and 30 bench reps if im not mistaken. Harris had a 4.79 I think and added 29 bench reps. The best numbers for a DE was posted by Isaac Hilton from Hampton who ran a 4.58 and threw up 32 bench reps which is great for a D-LInemen coming out of a D-2 school. If we trade down and regain a 3rd round pick I'd want to get him.

If you remember right I was talking Udeze/Smith if we went end and Wilfork/Starks if we go tackle...

With those numbers I think I would take Smith over Udeze :) Nice time... Hilton looks nice too - hope he could hang til the third where we trade our first down to the 10th or so, get Smith, pick up a 3rd and/or 4th and then get Hilton with the 3rd :)
