He is getting ready to take over. You just watch and wait
Mark my words, Gambit...Quincy doesnt possess the mental makeup to play in the nfl at the QB position. He only beat two teams with winning records and his stats just plain stunk. The only thing he will take over is the bench. I wouldnt be too awful hopeful for Henson either.

Mind you now that one of the teams we beat was Buffalo, who head coach oversaw the defense, defensive schemes and the coaches...and we beat them soundly....and WHO IS THAT EX HEAD COACH ....COACHING NOW.....DEFENSIVELY.....
KKran i dont know about the mental make up of a play I have never met do you. Also what are u doing on here should you be talking to you patients on the couch ....since you are a shrink..
No shrink, all I know is that everytime he is faced with adversity he folds up and ships it in. You better look at that Buffalo game again...it was 10-6, that is not soundly:

Without the Bills generosity of fumbles you lose...how is that soundly?????

I am not surprised that what started out as an intelligent discussion regressed to the good ol' 27-0 in your face B.S. comment by a Dallas fan. Gambit, to be honest, I expected much more from you. I luv ya man....but.....dayam!

Let this soak in, we averaged over 4 yards a carry in Spineless' offense against you guys last year...imagine what Portis is going to do to your defense. All you Cowboy fans think they are going to win ten games again. Just look at what quality teams did to Americas Team?? Philly, Miami, NE, Carolina, Tampa...all blow outs!! We only lost by 7 or more four times and that is in Spurriers offense. We also played half the season with a Qb who has never played before.

At QB, I've got to give the edge to Philly. Yes, we will have a better backup regardless of who starts, but McNabb is a true playmaker and Detmer has proved very capable as a backup.
Wide reciever is interesting. I think all the teams are very good. The Giants with Toomer and Hillard, the Eagles with Owens and Mitchell, the Cowboys with Johnson, Glenn and Bryant, and ourselves with Coles, Gardner and McCants. I'm not sure how I would rank them, but everyone is very close.
I don't understand why Dallas fans insist on defending Quincy. Parcells has done wonders with him, but he will never be more than an okay backup...

Well KKryan if you wanna look at it that way, i could always say that in 2002-2003 season we lost a bunch of games by less then 7 points. As a matter fact that year we lost 7 games by 7 points or less. Also we lost 3 games by 20 points or more. So the next year (2003-2004) we improved by winning some of the we should have won the previous year.
Now lets get deep with it. We got blown out by NE 12-0 at there house , while you guys caught them early in the year while they were hurt and u beat them at your house 20-17 only 3 points.
Ok we got beat by tampa bay 16-0(16) in there house, they beat yall in yall house 35-13(23).
Ummm philly, miami where not blow outs we got whupped but we did score. Oh and the carolina game was in the playoffs was it not, you should know cause your team was at home and you were rooting for Carolina.
In my final not i will say if/when the skins do get better they will win the games that they usually lose by 7 points or less, But dont be so foolish as to think you will come out and win ever game by whuppin aZZ. Also that there are lots of ways to look at an issue it all depends on what facts you want to pull from it.

I never said we would win ever game just that we would win more than five. You left one fact out. We won those games in a college offense with no hot reads and a D coordinator that really was not up to task. One thing is for sure, time will tell which perspective is correct. I will give you this, you are a logical fan which can not be said of some of the cows done here!!

Not sure I'm really buying your rankings. I think we're alot stronger at WR than the Giants.
Also, I don't think McNabb is the greatest QB technically. (He looked pretty sorry at times last season.) But he's a game breaker. You can't discount that.

What do you guys think??
Lets try a realistic look at this.
QB Eagles, Giants, Redskins, Cowboys is probably the correct order.
You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who'd trade McNabb or Collins for Brunell. The Dallas situation is the question mark.
OL Eagles Cowboys, Redskins Giants.
Blame coaching all you'd like, but Thomas was the only decent Skins o-lineman last season. The Giants O line may surprise some if they stay healthy.
TE, I agree with you.
WR Eagles, Giants, Skins, Cowboys. Owens and a nobody is better than Toomer and nobody or Coles and Nobody. It's hard to judge the Cowboys WRs until someone actually throws them "the damn ball".
RB Too many question marks such as Buckhalter's final destination and who the Cowboys end up with to even take a guess at ranking them.

How is McNabb better than Brunell and Ramsey??

You cant be serious, look at the Boys rushing stats. What a joke? At least we can blame the college system we were running. What is your excuse??

QB - Eagles, Redskins, Collins, Cowboys
Do you think the Giants would trade Collins for Ramsey?
HB - Redskins, Giants, Eagles, Cowboys
There are plenty of question marks, but no one is going to top Portis.
WR - Redskins, Cowboys, Eagles, Giants
This is very convoluted. Terell Owens is clearly the best reciever (although Coles is close), but the Eagles aren't three deep like the Cowboys and Redskins are. The only thing I'm sure about is the Giants being last.
TE - Giants, Eagles, Cowboys, Redskins
Yeah...
O-Line - Eagles, Redskins, Cowboys, Giants
I will blame the coaching. Coaching is the only reason the Cowboys were good last season, was it not?

Don't let the facts get in the way of your argument. Dallas beat Washington in Rushing Yards, Yards per Attempt, and Rushing First Downs. What other rushing statistic would you have me look at.

I think, although it's my opinion, is that the Redskins have the strongest QB roster. Then the Eagles, Giants, and then the Cowboys. McNabb isn't accurate enough. The one player on the Eagles that gives me the jitters is, well, David Akers the kicker. This guy seems to make every kick. If your in a close game, you better not let the Eagles get in FG position.
Let us all gather around and drink the
ey-Aid of the Redskins.

You guys keep pointing to the "depth" the 'skins have at QB as some sort of deciding factor.
Face it, Detmer is probably a better "back up" than Ramsey. Until Ramsey comes off the bench and wins, this is the only approach to take.
Looking at a Cowboys/Redskins qb depth comparision, Hutchinson's raw statistics are eerily similar to Ramsey's and if you're looking a pure "potential", one would be hard pressed to say that Ramsey's "potential" outshines Henson's.

I'll give you the Eagles QB situtation over the Redskins, but the Cowboys? Please...
For NEXT season, both Brunell and Ramsey are much better than any quarterback on the Cowboys roster. Maybe Henson develops into a better quarterback eventually, but don't tell me that for next season, you would rather have Henson than Ramsey.
As for Hutchinson (I can't even believe you brought him up), I wouldn't say his stats are really close to Ramsey's at all. In fact, the only thing that is eerily similar is the beatings they took in Ramsey's 2003 and Hutchinson's 2002. Ramsey's career QB Rating: 74.2, Hutchinson's career QB rating: 66.3.

Don't pretend like you actually think these two are equal quarterbacks, because Parcells obviously doesn't think so and I'm pretty sure any unbiased fan would laugh at the question...

curveball, im sorry but your wrong. What he was discussing in the rankings was the overall debth at the position and Brunell isnt the starter yet. Lets not forget that there were numberous teams that were burning up the phones of the skins front office to try and discuss a trade with them for Ramsey. Gibbs knows what he's doing. He intends for Ramsey to come in and take over but why would brunell come in and work hard for them if he knew he was going to ride the bench. He'll probably be the QB in preseason but Ramsey in the Reg. season. Thats my take.

Ramsey won the 1st three games then thats when his foot was hurt. If you've played any sports you know that if you hurt your foot your whole game is going to be effected. Any team would take Ramsey over Detmer. Dont forget he won the toughman award in the NFL Last year. Detmer got hit once or twice and he was injured.
