Brennan interviewed with offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan when he was coming out of college and Shanahan coached with the Texans. Shanahan has since made it clear that he's always been a fan of Brennan's.
as far as I'm concerned, I think we'll keep whoever is the better back-up
it's not like either is being considered as a future starter - no big deal
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

You can't be sure about that.

i think we keep rex. he knows the system. if either guys has to play we are screwed anyway.

In his best year (2006) he had a passer rating of 73.9. Not very encouraging.

neither guy can. like i said, if either rex or colt has to be play we are screwed. however, based on the FACT that kyle brought rex here with him from the texans, it is most likely that he is going to be the backup.

no, it's not. but at least he has played in meaningful NFL games, which is FAR more than you can say about Colt.

LOL looks like that might be changing soon sir, lolol.
colt is going to beat out mcnabb for the starting job, win the NFL mvp, and lead the skins to the super bowl all on his own.
I stated months ago that there was a reason why Colt is still here. This article kinda shows why. They think he has some skills. It's up to him to prove them right or wrong.
#shrug I dunno what will happen. But I'll make a prediction.
IF Colt survives this season at the #3 position. He'll supplant Rex next year. Rex is here as an intermediary between coaches and players due to his knowledge. Being that he's the most experienced, it's no wonder he's #2, he should be. BUT, that could change next year. Only time will tell.
I'm just elated that we're looking for talent in EVERY player on the roster. I love it.

True. We don't know if Colt can play at this level. We know that Rex can't.

Boy o boy o boy, I can't wait to see how some of you feel about this here! Things are looking better and better for everyone's most hated/loved QB.
If I was on the team I wouldn't want Kyle praising me. He praised the OL before the draft and we selected an OT (as we should have!). He praised the OL after the last mini-camp and with in a couple of days we went out and traded for an OT (as we should have!).
Colt might as well pack his bags. Kyle's praise is like when Don an Mike used to do "Praise the Brides".
Hey if he says something bout ey, I'm going to get real nervous.

That was cold man, cold.
Love your avatar. I was going to make a copy of a football card of Eddie La Baron and use it. I just haven't figured out how to get it installed.

Brennan has the........COLT of Personality on his side.

Colt is and will remain a #3 unless and until McNabb is no longer our QB. Shanahan will draft a QB to groom and replace McNabb in the next few years. If Colt is still on our roster then, he'll become the number 2.
